So I hear a lot of rhetoric on these forums. The common "go to" deflection technique being "well, how about black on black crime"? Well, there was one time where black on black crime was about 10x worse than it is today. Back in the late 80s, it was massive. Today black on black crime is till dropping yearly. But let's be honest with ourselves, if there were black people in the community trying to stop crime, would the media even cover it anyway? I actually don't think so. Can you imagine CNN headlines constantly being about "Incredible anti-black on black crime protest, let's take it to our live correspondent". Of course not. That's boring news. Every protest and rally doesn't make it on the air. Now one can say "well blacks aren't protesting". Because black people don't listen to protest, they listen to rappers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jxyYP_bS_6s Back in the 90s a bunch of rappers got together and formed the "Stop the Violence movement". They also were active in protesting, speaking at community events, and many other things. The only people who bought the single? Black people. Later DoggyStyle a classic gangsta rap album, went multi-platinum talking about nothing but gang violence. Purchased mostly by whites, by the way. In either case, maybe before you open up your mouth about black on back crime, MAYBE you should look up organizations in cities with Black populations. You're likely to see SEVERAL in ANY CITY around the ENTIRE COUNTRY. Will CNN cover this? Of course not. Black people and their activism to stop black on black violence is the VERY THING responsible for the decline in black on black crime. It was able to get key gang leaders to a cease fire and start organizinig their cities in many cities. How did the government reward them? Oh by arresting them.
