Last December, while we busied ourselves with holiday preparations, Russia’s President Vladimir Putin found time to sign an updated version of Russia’s military doctrine. Despite this, the logic behind one of Russia’s classic grievances against the West – the deployment of ballistic missile defence (BMD) in Europe – has remained largely unexplained.
Russia’s 2014 military doctrine lists BMD as Moscow’s fourth external military danger. Since the United States officially announced the deployment of BMD in Europe in 2004, Russia has persistently referred to the project, run by NATO, as a demonstration of anti-Russian intent. Why after 10 years, does this issue still get such high ranking?

First of all there is not going to be a war.

No matter how much Putin goes on TV and pretends a new crisis exists.....Putin is not so stupid as to actually do ANYTHING that the U.S. might consider a hostile act.

This is not a joke and it should not be treated as such.

We are talking about the possibility of the end of all life on Earth.

And Putin should NOT be screwing around like this.

Fact is....a few American ABM/ASAT's in Poland or around that area are NOT in anyways a threat to Russian Nuclear Forces.

And Putin KNOWS THIS!!!

We would need to deploy thousands of ABM/ASAT's in that area of the world to actually become a threat to Russia's ability to launch either a first or counter attack.

BUT.....give us 5 years.

5 YEARS....that's IT!!
