The evidence for anthropogenic Global Warming mounts month by month. There are now 15 consecutive months that have been the hottest of that month on record.

August Ties July as Hottest Month Ever on Record
September 12th, 2016 - In what has become a common refrain this year, last month ranked as the hottest August on record, according to NASA data released Monday. Not only that, but the month tied July as the hottest month the world has seen in the last 136 years.

    What this actually means:

Its the hottest month in the last 167 years only.

Number of of years of recorded data: 167 out of 4,000,000,000.

And entirely the fault of George W Bush too.

    - - - Updated - - -

And what is it exactly that you'd like normal working people like me to do about the weather on a planet that has been around for billions of years?

This comes from the NOAA NCEI new global land+ocean surface reconstruction with the manufactured warming presented in Karl et al.. It should not be surprising to have an alleged warmest month during an El Nino (alleged since it comes from a reconstruction and not raw data). Of course that is dropping off dramatically but hey, if you can make a scary headline.

Statistically questionable and caused by the natural El Nino.

If it's even that. With all the cooked up emails and fraudulent data, one has to wonder if that's even truthful.

I'm sure this is just a world-wide conspiracy of all the thermometers colluding to spite Trump.

Kind of funny isn't it. Here you are claiming that NASA's own evidence shows that the polar ice caps aren't suffering. So do you link to NASA's web site with gazillions of articles on the subject and boat loads of data? No you link us to an opinion piece by a well known global warming denier. Even funnier that you would attempt to spread your little slice of mis-information on the very day NASA and NOAA have been announcing that 2016 has been the warmest year on record following 2015 which had been the warmest year on record which followed 2014 which also had been the warmest year on record.

NASA's buggery of the climate record has removed all their credibility. They should stick to muslim outreach as directed by Obama.

Apparently. After all there is no way that I could know more that yer average conservative. If only I had spent the past 25 years listening to right wing silly talk I too would deny the reality that is everywhere around us. Who needs a college education when one has a whole pile of failed disk jockeys and actors to mis-inform you? Who needs data when one can just make up whatever they need to support their argument at the moment?

Didn't they lose their credibility when they faked the moon landing? Or was it when they hid the space aliens?

Nothing funny about it. If you have a problem factually with the Forbes piece please point it out.
But it's easier to slime the messenger than to dispute facts, I suppose (the link to NASA you wanted in in my cited piece, by the way).

So once more I wonder why the polar caps are not melting away if we are in the middle of unprecedented global warming.

NASA is wrong as usual. The hottest months on record occurred during the last Inter-Glacial Period.

It's 50 degrees in northern Ohio. It was an icey cold December. Below zero. What climate change means is that the weather will be more extreme. It will cause storms to be more severe. They are worried about the ant artic ice and the northern ice is obviously much reduced. We know the bears are starving. We are now able to navigate across it and they are trying to put an oil well in the north North Atlantic . It's supposed to be more than 50 below zero in the North Atlantic. The jet stream is slowing down , if it dies , Europe will be Siberia.
What can we do ? We should get rid of fossil fuels. Use solar energy. The technology is getting very good. Americans can do anything if we would just try. We can fix our problems, denying they exist is not an alternative. That's called denial. It's a state of mind.

The scientists of earth are not crying wolf.
