    Hi all,

Seeing as we're getting close to the NFL regular season, I wanted to see if there were enough interested users for me to form a PF fantasy football league. Just leave a comment if you're interested. I would probably use Yahoo Sports' fantasy football platform by the way, as I prefer their layout to the other sites I've tried.

Hey Spotter. My bad I meant to get to this sooner.

I love yahoo so much more than ESPN. The real-time stats screen is like watching the NFL network. I'm glued to my computer all Sunday. Count me in. Can we aim for a draft somewhere around the night before game 1 of the regular season?

You've been around here much longer than I, obviously.

Know anyone (mods or regulars) that are interested in Fantasy FB? Would be a lot of fun and would make for some great casual discussions throughout the year :)

I actually haven't been on here enough to know who is into fantasy football (less than a year actually!). The only football fans I know of on here are the ones who posted on the NFL thread.

I would like there to be at least six teams to avoid too many repeat matchups, so I'm hoping at least four other interested users will come forward. Once that happens I can set up a league pretty quickly. We're getting close to regular season already, so the draft would definitely be within a couple days of the Panthers at Broncos game.

No idea. Football wasn't a topic that ever came up. I think it's a great idea though.

I'll bring it up some more in some discussions. Send a few private messages, hopefully we can get it together soon.

Hope you're successful, as it seems that we're the only fantasy fans on the entire site who have discovered the sports section!

Sorry I keep getting to your posts late. If you live in NC (my former state) then you're 6 hours behind me. Yea I haven't done the best job looking. I'll get on it now.

I've been an NFL fan since 1958. Jim Lee Howell was the coach of the New York Football Giants...and Chuckin' Charlie Conerly #42 was their quarterback.

Never have joined one of the leagues...and not entirely sure I know how to operate in one. But my wife is a football fan also...and she keeps up with this stuff.

Which is my way of saying: I'm in.

Welcome, Frank! It's actually a lot easier than it sounds. It makes watching all the games really fun too. You'll draft players from numerous teams. Your roster will look something like this:

    QB
    RB
    RB
    WR
    WR
    WR
    TE
FLEX (either an extra RB, WR, or TE)
    Kicker
    Defense

So you can pick any players in the league to fill your roster. WR's are now the biggest point value so I typically draft one first. RB's a close second, then QB's (unless you draft Gronk at TE, he's a gold mine).

    Thanks for the tips, AS.

Gonna do some Googling...and be ready when this thing starts.

Nancy and I are in several pools...so all the games matter to us.

This will make it even more interesting.

Nice. Anyone have a preference on websites to play on? I have some feedback over my 10 years playing.

ESPN- easy to setup, very user friendly, it doesn't have the prettiest interface (doesn't look very snazzy) but it's easy to be the commissioner (huge plus)
Yahoo- a little more difficult to manage, but it's user friendly. The interface is top notch and gives you live looks at every game at any time. Best stat tracker out there- makes for some fun Sunday's!
CBS- Comes standard for commissioners- voting included on trades with the standard option

Great! Hopefully we can get at least two more users, but we needed at least four teams to start a league so we're at that threshold at least.

Doesn't really matter that much to me as I have accounts on ESPN, NFL, and Yahoo already, but if given the choice, I'd prefer Yahoo.

I have set up the league through Yahoo.com. All of you should be able to join by following this link:

    https://yho.com/nfl?l=981835&k=c70a901c89aafdf6&soc_trk=lnk&ikey=48ae8d46619a6c4f

I have set the draft for Wednesday, Sept 7th, at 8:00 PM EST. I would recommend changing your team name to something similar to your PF username, otherwise it might be hard to tell who is who. For those who are new to fantasy football, you do not have to be online during the draft - Yahoo will automatically draft your team if you are absent based on the highest rated players remaining.

Also, if you know of any other users on here who would be interested in playing but have not seen this thread, it would be great if you could give them a heads up.

Good luck, and may the best team win.

Thanks for setting up! I can't join on the laptop I'm currently on. This computer blocks all the yahoo popups. I can join tomorrow when I'm back in the rack.

Just so everyone's aware, I use a variety of names. Usually having something to do with Tony Romo and how he always breaks his collar bone. Last year I was Tony Romo's Clavicle . He's just an easy target

It really doesn't take much time at all. Yahoo will auto pick for you if you can't make the draft, then you only have to log on once a week to set your lineups, which literally won't take more than like two or three minutes each.

I have a crazy schedule too, though, so I can understand if you can't participate. :)

    Awesome, thanks for joining!

I cannot figure out at the site how many players for each of the subject positions each of us will draft.

    I wanna be ready.

Are there instructions for our league that I can access?
