After a review of allegations from human rights groups, the Israeli Military Advocate General Corps (MAG) found no evidence of any war crimes by Israeli personnel during the bombardment and invasion of Gaza during Operation Protective Edge in 2014. The Israeli MAG has never found sufficient evidence to convict one of its soldiers of a war crime or a crime against humanity. "Since Operation Protective Edge, there have been reports of some 360 outstanding incidents during IDF operations in the Gaza Strip. Only in one case have soldiers been indicted, for looting and helping to loot during Golani Brigade operations in Shujaiyeh."

The Israel Defense Force (IDF) is known as "the most moral army in the world."

    Palestinians were killing themselves
In the deaths of 12 members of the Siyam family in Rafah, the Israeli Advocate General stated that "no Israeli strike had occurred in the area at that time, and said the family had probably been hit by an errant mortar shell fired at Israel by a militant group."

A photo of Nabil Siyam’s five children, four of whom died from an Israeli attack on July 21, 2014, seen in the family home, Rafah, Gaza, November 13, 2014. Only Bader (bottom right corner) survived. A total of 13 members from the Siyam family were killed. Around 30 members of the family were fleeing in the street when an Israeli missile hit them. Bader (4) was badly wounded and needed to have his kidney removed, while his father Nabil had his left arm amputated.
