You've chosen to post the opinion of two extreme Jews. There is nothing in the Torah to support those opinions. The two Talmuds were written in different cultures. 'Babylonia' (the old Babylon where many Jews had stayed after the exile and which was outside the Roman Empire), and Jerusalem ,where the Jews were persecuted by the dominant state religion - Christianity. Difficult times for the Jews. The Yerusalmi (Jerusalem Talmud) was written by Rabbis being hunted by opponents of Judaism, and frequently moved from place to place. Bavli (Babylonian Talmud) was written by Rabbis free to express themselves without fear. They're 'Animals'. How often do you hear that term from the lips of people when referring to suicide bombers and others who kill without 'humanity' or for religious reasons. I think that Ovadia Yosef and Moses Maimonides are recognised authorities in Judaism, and everybody can read their interpretation of Talmud and other Jewish holy books.
