New ads up in Swing States demanding Trump quit,as he promised to do if polls dropped

Keep in mind...these are ads being run by REPUBLICANS. Not the Clinton campaign. Not the Democratic Party.

Naturally, of course Trump didn't REALL mean it when he was saying that back during the Primaries.


Just like, as we've learned the past week, he didn't mean a LOT of things he promised during the Primaries. "Deportation forces", etc.

 

Do you think he should quit? Will quitting change the outcome of the election?

 

How will the Republicans learn anything if Trump quits? Let history record the worst run campaign's fruition. Let Trump's campaign be a blueprint on how to NOT to run a Presidential...or any other political campaign.

Donald Trump is serving mankind.

 

1. He won't quit....unless he can fake an illness (ironic, given the current M.O. of Trump and his followers is lying about Clinton's health.)

Trump would have to claim something debilitating or even potentially fatal....but the "coincidence" of it occurring when his polls in the basement would let everybody now....friend and foe alike....that he was merely a coward.



2. Quitting now, even if it were possible, would "pass the baton" to Pence but the damage to Pence has already been done. True he's not as nuts or dumb as Trump, politically, but he's been defending Trump's idiocy and insanity....so he's intractably entwined in it.




3. I sure as HELL don't want him to quit. Now and for weeks? He's been THE BEST opponent that Hillary Clinton could ever hope for.

Several points-

1. It shows Trump is a liar. His promise during the Primaries to drop out if his polls dropped...was a lie.

2. Adjunct to that, the fact we NOW know his mass deportation promise to the Nativists and xenophobes was a lie as well.

3. It shows that there are enough Republicans who so vehemently loathe Trump that they'd spend a GOOD CHUNK OF CASH to run ads against him in Swing States.....probably with no expectation of him actually keeping his promise to quit.....but to help him lose those States.

So talk of "party unity" in the GOP....is a joke.

 

This is why I'll never be left wing. You guys are bashing Trump (which is fine, I too do my share of Trump bashing because he sucks), and then you brag about the other liar.

If what you say is true, you'd think he'd be the kind of candidate that you and the rest of the DNC could get behind.

 

Latest (today's) swing states polls, Trump is tied in Ohio, down by just 3 in PA, by 5 in MI. It's not that bad, is it? Why should he quit again?

The premise of your OP, even the title of this thread is based solely on polls. I am just playing along and pointing out that being tied in OH and just 3% behind in PA, as today's polls indicate gives Trump a very good reason to stay in the race, don't you agree?

Why would Trump quit?

He's just a few points behind, he's gaining in the polls, and Hillary's e-mail situation will blow up in October.

 

Because he promised, during the Primaries, that he would, if he was behind in the polls.

If the polls show Trump "coming back", you accept them as accurate.

If the polls drop again for Trump, you'll deny their accuracy again.
