For a failed military coup in Turkey

History democratic Turkey is rich in military coups. In a relatively short historical period from 1960 to 1980, an average of every 10 years, 3 military coups was carried out in Turkey. The fourth revolution, or rather the coup, attempted July 15, 2016, failed, and there are reasons. It is important to note that the first three are fundamentally different from the coup, which was originally, in my opinion, was a failure. The fact, that the previous coups were organized by senior Army leadership in moments when the constitution of the secular state, which saw Turkey Ataturk, could be changed in favor of the clerics, or when, due to internal political disputes and corruption, the country faces a serious destabilization that could affect the security of the country. The coup in 2016 has the same features, which became the cause of his failure.

The first feature - in the country did not have an acute irreconcilable political opposition, the economy for many years shows steady growth. Turkey is ahead of all the G20 countries on exports, and ranks sixth in the world for textile exports. Turkey ranks fifth in terms of turnover with the EU. There were no attacks on the secular structure of the state on the part of clerics, in any case, if radical Islamists were something about them were not known. KSAT, it is appropriate to note that Turkey is the first country in the Middle East, and throughout the Islamic world, in which religion is separated from state. Even Israel cannot be considered a pure democracy, for their religion is not separated from the state, and the rabbis are actively engaged in political activities, being members of parliament and government, and taught the "law of God" as a compulsory subject in public schools. Thus, inside the Turkish society has not experienced serious problems, which could generate a military coup, as was the case in the past.

It is logical to assume that if a coup in the country did not have the internal causes, the cause of the external. This is the second distinctive feature.

The third feature of the coup was the fact that all previous revolutions were bloodless. The generals issued an ultimatum to be made aware not cope with the situation arisen dangerous government that takes power in their hands to determine the country's constitutional order and in the future, under favorable political conditions, the transfer of power to the newly formed government. The coup in 2016 turned bloody, killing 265 people.

The fourth distinctive feature - the highest army leadership is mainly not on the side of the coup.

And the fifth is a very important feature - the coup did not find support among the Turkish people, who, in spite of the deep night, took to the streets and has become a living wall, in front of tanks insane coup, which frightened the people's wrath, did not dare to press people and in disgrace resigned.

None of the organizers of the coup did not dare or just go out to the people, but also to encourage people to support the coup, taking advantage of a sudden coup captured media. It seems that the main organizer of the coup really was outside the state, or certainly would have appealed to the people for help and hope to find understanding. The Turkish people have understood one thing, that what is happening is not the democracy that the people of Ataturk bequeathed. The fact - the failed coup showed that democracy in Turkey is a long time. From now on, the power in Turkey can be changed only in a democratic way. Turkish people have shown throughout the world and especially the participants in the coup their commitment to democracy.

Who is behind the coup? Who took the life of those 265 people? President Recep Tayyip Erdogan immediately pointed to Islamic preacher Fethullah Gulen, who left Turkey for treatment in the United States and did not return. I will assume that Gülen left Turkey due to the fact that in 1997 the military ousted pro-Islamic government Nezhmetdin Erbakan, in which he saw a threat to their religious activities. According to Wikileaks educational organization Gülen was the most powerful Islamist group in Turkey, which controls the business, trade and publishing activities.
So Gülen - a respected personality in the Islamic world, the founder of the religious movement "Khizmat", his followers have opened thousands of religious schools, cultural centers in many countries. For example, in Azerbaijan Gulen Foundation funded an international educational complex, which included the "Caucasus" University, more than a dozen high schools, and even dozens of kindergartens. In consequence it turned out, they dug Nur (sect, followers of Shariah rule), which managed to penetrate the power structures of Azerbaijan, therefore, still in 2014, it was decided to dissolve the entire educational complex Gulen, whose graduates carried the potential threat to the secular character of the state. In Turkey, many school religious preacher enjoyed great popularity. It is likely that students from schools of Gülen's followers as the preacher also included in many of the structures of public institutions, and, assuming that Gülen is not really peace preacher, a wolf in sheep's clothing, it can be Erdogan and rights.

Not to recall the ideological opponent of the Shah of Iran, Mohammed Reza Pahlavi reformer preacher Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, who, as an exile in France, prepared and carried out the coup. Perhaps Gülen seen in the father of the Islamic Revolution is a good example to follow.

I do not think that Gulen fool or a madman to go on such a risky move, if he really wanted to shift power in Turkey. Of course, we can assume that, in the case of the murder of President Recep Erdogan, who managed to escape in time, events may unfold differently, but this is only speculation and no more. The point is not in a president. The Islamic Revolution in Iran was supported by the people. To count on the same support from the Turkish people - pure madness. The only thing I can suggest is that Gülen had no longer time, given his age and state of health, and in fact such people have the dream and the goal of all life is very precious.
