Due to recent events, such as the collapse of their defense forces holding back the siege in Aleppo, failure to advance in Hama, and today's suicide attacks in Government and Kurdish areas; it seems the rebel alliance in the center of the country is falling apart and infighting has begun. Also another Damascus suburb has followed Darayya's lead and surrendered to the Government. By attacking in Hama they took some of their best defensive forces from Aleppo, and there are rumors that some fighters also left for better pay in North Syria under the Turkish movement to secure their borders from ISIS and Kurdish forces in the area. Both of these events left their defense of the military colleges in a bad position as they have collapsed under constant assault from the Syrian Government. If they continue to fight among themselves the main rebel resistance in the country will have a lot of trouble defending their territories as they will have to reinforce themselves in competition for the rebel stronghold of Idlib. East Aleppo Under Siege Again As US-Russia Deal Falters http://www.lse.co.uk/AllNews.asp?co...po_Under_Siege_Again_As_USRussia_Deal_Falters CAIRO (Alliance News) - The rebel-held eastern half of Syria's largest city was once again cut off by government advances on Sunday, a monitoring group said, as attempts by the US and Russia to close a deal on the Syrian conflict faltered. The development means that an estimated 250,000 to 300,000 remaining residents in eastern Aleppo are again facing siege. Before rebels broke through government lines to open a new route into the east a month ago, the UN had warned that food supplies there would only last until mid-August. But government forces backed by Russian and Syrian air raids on Sunday captured that route, through the grounds of military academies in the city's southern Ramousseh district, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said. The government's SANA news agency said that the military academies had been completely recaptured, cutting off all rebel transport and supply lines between eastern Aleppo and the rebel-held countryside south of the city. Three-year siege of Moadamiyeh ends after deal with Assad regime http://www.thenational.ae/world/mid...-moadamiyeh-ends-after-deal-with-assad-regime MOADAMIYEH, Syria // More than 300 Syrians were taken by bus out of a rebel-held suburb of Damascus on Friday under a deal struck with the government that ends a punishing three-year siege, allows rebel fighters to leave and restores state control over the area. The suburb of Moadamiyeh is the latest opposition pocket to relent after residents could no longer take the suffering under sieges by Syrias military, with food supplies dwindling and key infrastructure like hospitals being destroyed. A nearby suburb, Daraya, surrendered and came under government control last week. The accelerating pace of such surrenders points to the success of the militarys tactic of sieges, even as it has brought international criticism and complaints from the United Nations over the difficulty of getting humanitarian aid to besieged residents. Security forces searched the luggage of dozens of men, women, and children before they boarded buses Friday, heading to shelters in a government-controlled neighbourhood nearby. The siege of Moadamiyeh, which a UN report said was gassed with toxic sarin gas in 2013, left its estimated 28,000 residents with dwindling food and medical supplies. About 340 people were evacuated in the first part of the deals implementation, including 62 gunmen who agreed to lay down their arms after taking advantage of a presidential amnesty, said the governor of Rural Damascus province, Alaa Munir Ibrahim. Aside from the gunmen, the evacuees are all residents of the nearby suburb of Daraya who had been trapped in Moadamiyeh when the military launched an offensive on Daraya earlier this year. Once their evacuation to government-controlled areas is complete, the rebel gunmen in Moadamiyeh who refuse to hand over their weapons will leave, most probably to rebel-held parts of northern Syria. The rest of the suburbs population will remain. Jihadist civil war on the horizon as Jund and Ahrar battle in Idlib https://www.almasdarnews.com/article/jihadist-civil-war-horizon-jund-ahrar-battle-idlib/ Idlib, Syria (10:02 A.M.) Hours ago, reports emerged from rebel sources talking about clashes between Ahrar Al-Sham and Jund Al-Aqsa (Qaeda franchise) in the town of Ariha, a few kilometers to the west of Idlib. According to the same source, clashes began following an assassination attempt by Jund Al-Aqsa militiamen against the vice leader of the Ahrar Al-Sham movement. In addition, a Jund Al-Aqsa suicide bomber targeted an Ahrar-held HQ in the city of Binnish at the heart of Idlib. Those events come at a sensitive time when Jund Al-Aqsa, FSA-affiliated Jaish Al-Nasr, Jabhat Fath Al-Sham, and Ahrar are fiercely battling the government forces north of Hama.
