I actually prefer the female voice, so I didn't include males. The truth is that women have vastly superior voices.

    1. Whitney Houston
    2. Martina McBride
    3. LeAnn Rhimes
    4. Heart
    5. Madonna

These are my favorite female singers, in no particular order. I'll do a list of male vocalists eventually, but I prefer female voices, so I'm starting here.

I'm missing a lot of women, but these are the ones that come to mind immediately.

    Not a bad list.

    I especially like stevie nicks.

    Fleetwood is damn good.

My favorite Fleetwood song is probably "Dreams." Then again, half of their songs are classics.

In no particular order, and women with powerfully amazing singing voices, and range...

(And I can't believe no one has mentioned these two yet)
    Pat Benatar
    Ann Wilson

    Others include, for various reasons...

    Tina Turner
    Grace Slick
    Janis Joplin
    Joan Jett
    Linda Ronstadt
    Cher
    Bette Midler

    To name a few.

All good let's keep it going.

Linda got a mention earlier. I give her credit for helping give birth to the Eagles.

Annie Lennox has a fantastic voice and a strong stage presence. I don't know that I have any favorites though. I like a lot of female singers who are all different and even are in different genres of music. I appreciate talent even if it's not my kind of music.

Yes. Sarah has a beautiful voice. This is one of my favorite songs from her. She sounds like an angel.

That was nice! So ya got me looking around on YouTube, and I was thinking of posting the studio version of "Elsewhere" for you, and I happened across this. She sings the song alone, playing a guitar - no other instruments or accompaniment. Not only is her voice beautiful, but there is something about her singing that communicates a lot of emotion. Still gets to this ol' fella ...

    1. Jennifer Nettles (of Sugarland)
    2. Faith Hill
    3. Kelly Clarkson
    4. Christina Aguilera
    5. Adele

I'll have to check out that post when I get off work!

Yeah, I don't care much about genre when it comes to appreciating good vocals.

    I love Tay Tay.

Brittany Spears was drool-worthy when she was 18. She still has a tremendous figure.

Paris Hilton has way better bedroom skills than I expected for a trust fund kid. You all know how I know lol.

Brittany Spears had one of the best bodies ever when she was young.

I had forgotten all about Faith Hill and Christina Aguilera.

Genie in a bottle is a pretty good song.

I don't know all of these singers, but I agree with Alicia Keys. She is an amazing vocalist.

I love Stevie Nicks too. I love her style and her stage presence, but I don't think I would rate her as one of the best female vocalists.

All time, I do not know. Two of the better, I would say maybe Celine Dion or perhaps that one from Evanescenses, whatever her name is.

Surely, she has a lot of talent, but best female vocalist ever? Meh. I also liked her better before she went "bad girl" and started making crappy, mainstream (*)(*)(*)(*) music. She used to have her own, unique style. Very sad she is wasting her talent...Demand and supply I guess.

    I cannot stand her voice.

Even I sing better than her. Also not sure if she can even be considered a vocilist.

    This Swedish artist has a very nice voice imo;
