If ISIS is planning an attack on the US mainland it is very likely that they will attempt to trump Al-Qaedas 911 attack on the trade centre and go much bigger. I think that the risk of ISIS attempting a nuclear terrorist attack on the American people is a risk that we need to take into consideration. The threat matrix that ISIS poses to civilized nations only increases with every gain that we make against ISIS because the more desperate they become the more likely it is that they will look to nuclear options to help them start the Holy War that they are seeking between the Muslim and Christian worlds. The ISIS terrorists are waging their Jihad upon the world because they believe that we are entering the end times and that we are on the brink of the final battle between good and evil. In my opinion it is the city of Damascus that ISIS is most likely to try to destroy with a Broken Arrow nuclear weapon because the Christians believe that the destruction of the city of Damascus is part of the End Times prophecy and also because Muslims believe that it is east of Damascus that will be where Jesus descends when he returns to destroy the Anti-Christ and bring the Final Judgement to non-believers. Yes when anti-west groups get nukes it'll really hit the fan, for example a terror squad carrying suitcase nukes could come ashore on a western coastline in rubber boats from an innocent-looking merchant ship. Or a sub could deposit a big nuke bomb on the seabed on a time fuse a few miles offshore of a coastal city and let the blast, tsunami and radioactivity swamp the city. Yes we all remember when we caught North Koreans on a ship with hidden weapons they had bought from Cuba. We know that North Korea engages in illegal weapons trading so God only knows who they would be willing to sell a nuke to. I also worry about the Pakistanis selling nukes to terrorists. Another problem is that a nation like Russia, Iran or China could attack a city with a nuclear device and then blame it on terrorists.
Yes, under Murphy's Law, if it can happen, it WILL happen, the clock is ticking. The only way of trying to avert it would be for America and the West to stop upsetting muslims and hostile regimes like N. Korea, for example if we stopped propping up Israel with cash and super-duper weaponry it might defuse the situation considerably, because at the moment we're on the terror hit list as "Israel's friend".
Or we could help our friends win the war on terror. I think that we need to get more serious about the war on terror or we are never going to win it. We need to be willing to use nukes ourselves if we have to. Imagine what the world would be like right now if the US Government had the gonads to back General Douglas MaCarthur in China. We would not have the problem of North Korea or China right now if Douglas MaCarthur had been given the tools that were needed to take down China. Terrorists and hostile regimes need to know that we are willing to use super dooper weaponry against them. And that we will destroy all of our enemies - and protect all friends. Israel is a friend. I've never met a Jew I didn't like, they seem nice friendly people, but I can't understand why America is propping them up with cash and weapons, thereby making America a terror target as "Israel's friend"? We should never turn our backs on our friends to avoid being a terror target. Israel certainly is Americas friend and a friend in need is a friend indeed. Many refer to Jewish businessman Haym Salomon as 'The man that won the American Revolution' because his support for the revolutionary war was so important to USA gaining independence. Haym Solomon was never repaid for his support and his importance to American independence is not often acknowledged. Haym Solomon is just one of countless Jews that are so important to the history of America, and Jews are important to the history of all civilized western nations because it is Judeo-Christian values that unite us and make us a community. The ideal of liberty does not conflict with the ideal of community and USA is not only part of the global community, but holder of reserve status and leader state of the civilized world so not only does USA have a responsibility to protect, defend and promote civilized Judeo-Christian values, it is in Americans best interest to protect, defend and promote Judeo-Christian values around the world because the global community is one community and if one part of the community is sick then the entire community is sick. So ignoring the sickness that is the Islamic terror that threatens Israel is akin to a person thinking that they can ignore a melanoma since the the rest of their body is healthy. It is not just Israel that Islamic terrorists are at war with - it is the entire Judeo-Christian community and our civilized way of life. If America was to turn its backs on Israel thinking that this would protect America from the cancer that is Islamic terror then the cancer would metastasize and spread to the entire body and in many ways this is exactly what is happening. In many ways Jews were the first truly global citizens and while the holocaust is the latest example of Jews being persecuted, human history is full of nations persecuting their Jewish minority and this is more than just a stain on the history of the human race - it is a cancer that must we must be cured of. Of course it is not just Jews that have been persecuted throughout history for being different or a minority but with Jews being the first truly global citizens it is Jews that have suffered the most persecution so it is Jews more than any other people that have been on the front lines fighting against the darkness of irrational, fear driven and ignorant tribalism that is at the heart of all human racism and prejudice. I see Israel as a shining light in a sea of darkness in the middle east. Of course it is not just Islamic terrorism that we must destroy to heal the world but the Sharia mentality of the entire middle eastern muslim world. Not only do we need to defend the shining light that is Israel, we must help to shine that light on all of the middle east and that means not just defeating Islamic terror but also putting an end to the uncivilized Sharia mentality of the muslim nations of the middle east. The Jewish concept of Tikkun Olam - that Jews bear responsibility not only for their own moral, spiritual and material wealth, but also for the welfare of society at large - is the key to a model global society. The objective of Judaism and Christianity is to bring about a model society - our objective is to help bring about a world that is on earth as it is in heaven by separating the light from the darkness. This concept of Tikkun Olam does not just apply to Jews and Christians but to all civilized people of the global community. Like I said, liberty does not conflict with community - it is communion that sets us free. By turning our backs on Israel and allowing that shining light to be lost in the sea of darkness that is the middle east we are failing not just the people of Israel but the entire civilized world and humanity itself. Imagine if the Nazi had been successful in exterminating the Jewish people from the European continent and beyond - we would be in a world where the darkness won out over the light. Allowing Israel to be "wiped out" would be akin to the human race losing our humanity and losing the battle between good and evil. We need to be prepared to lose entire cities if we have to to defeat global terror. If ISIS or another group wiped out an entire US city then we certainly could not surrender. We should never negotiate with terrorists and we should make no peace deals with terrorists. And if we have to fight terror with terror then we have to be willing to do that. At the end of the day we are all combatants in the battle between good and evil whether we like it or not. One thing that we need to end if we are to win the war on terror is criminal compassion. Collateral damage cannot be avoided and we cannot allow a criminal compassion to enter into our decision making or prevent us from making the hard decisions that need to be made. We cannot put a price on freedom and we all must be willing to do whatever it takes to protect our freedoms and our civilized way of life.
