A pilot says its easier to fly than any other aircraft he qualified for. A maintenance sergeant said it was built with the support crews in mind. And here's how they train to fly it @ http://www.businessinsider.com/f35-pilot-fighter-jet-training-2016-8 The full, interesting story is @ http://www.businessinsider.com/f35-pilot-interview-2016-9
I'm still on the fence when it comes to the F-35. The F-35 reminds me of the Brewster F-2 A Buffalo -> http://www.aviastar.org/air/usa/brewster_buffalo.php Probably the worse aircraft the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps ever flew. I'm going to stay on the fence and only listen to those who are actually flying the F-35. Pilots will say one thing on the record and something different off the record. That how it works in the military. A few weeks ago I talked to five Marine FA-18 pilots who are scheduled for transition into the F-35. All five said they would rather keep flying the FA-18. On the same day talked with One Marine aviator who's with VMFAT-501 which is a F-35 transition training squadron and he said he misses his old FA-18 C. We'll just have to wait and see.
