Various theorists throughout time have speculated that the White race was significantly superior to other races.

Race theorizing certainly was a more popular discussion point in the past. It's since drifted into obscurity. But we do tend to see some folks on the fringe holding onto these notions with their hearts if not their minds. And they do hold on tight! There is another thread going right now where the concept of race is being discussed. Here is a link, http://www.politicalforum.com/race-...diversity-benefit-white-run-societies-50.html - a few folks have weighed in on the coherenece of applying race to human beings. Be interesting to get your take in that thread.

Ad populum. Always a popular fallacy. Do you think your perception of the quantity of opinion it is connected to Semites owning the media?

It's only a matter of light skin mutations and the so-called racial differences are only skin deep. There is no genetic evidence that blue eyes are superior to brown eyes, which is our default colour. However, we are prone to think that our own ethnic group is superior to others. Even the Chinese thought that non-Chinese peoples were barbarians in the past, when Imperial China was a dominant power. Similarly, the British had a firm and unshakable belief in their racial superiority when the British Empire ruled the waves. The Japanese were the leading race in East Asia in their heyday, too, based on their racial theory.

Yes but this doesn't mean one group isn't actually superior.

The cause for an idea being obscure does not change the condition of that idea is obscure. Obscurity is just a quality. I can say an apple is red without speaking of why it is red. Not stating a reason for the apple's color does not change what color the apple is.

You've invoked that fallacy inappropriately. An ad populum argument uses the opinion of the crowd as a premise. I have referenced no crowd. You are getting confused about the structure of argument, what makes an argument valid, and the difference between validity and soundness.

People are white because they evolved in the northern climates covered from the sun. Expansions only happened when climates were warmer.

My apologies. I assumed your post was some kind of contradiction to my OP.

I didn't guess your post had exactly no point.

    Thanks.

BTW calling something "fringe" implicitly references a crowd, so your pretentious and utterly irrelevant post isn't even correct.

at what point, did they "split from the species bunch", and establish their own, "race"?

The purpose of the post was to generate additional conversation as another thread seemed closely related. It succeeded as that thread was responded. And I thank you for the dialogue. I think these topics are fascinating and riveting otherwise i would not be here. I also greatly appreciate opposing views otherwise there is no conflict. And that is boring.

Calling something fringe references the crowd but not in support of the argument. I'm not saying it is fringe because there is a crowd of people that agree that it is fringe. I'm calling it fringe because that is what condition the idea of racial superiority is: hidden, secret, hushed. My argument is valid based on the stated premises.

You might claim my argument is not sound but you would need proof. The idea of racial superiority is either fringe or it is not. it is either hidden from view or it is in plain sight. In modern times, racial superiority theorists hide from view. The only people you can observe discussing the merits of racial superiority are fringe groups like the KKK. My argument is sound empirically lest you have evidence to prove otherwise.

They were Semites.....The Phoenicians came from the Land known as Canaan. Cousins of the Hebrews.

They established a colony in N. Africa what is known today as Tunisia.

According to History....Carthage was founded in 1215-1234BC.

at what point, did they "split from the species bunch", and establish their own, "race"?

The Romans, practically considered themselves, their own "race". It may be a simple confusion if it substitutes, for the concept of nationality.

    - - - Updated - - -

It may simply be, that merely wandering away from the "Village of Africa", required learning new things.

You don't make any sense their race is Semite. It never changed.....first called Canaanites, then Phoenicians, it is believed they were governed over by the Greeks in N Africa. Possibly Tyre. The Greeks called them Phoenicians. The Romans called them Carthaginians. Due to their City.

There was nothing to distinguish them from other Phoenicians that settled in N Africa. Phoenicia would be Lebanon as we know it today. They came from the Levant.

Phoenicia was an ancient Semitic thalassocratic civilization of an unknown origin situated on the western, coastal part of the Fertile Crescent and centred on the coastline of what is now Lebanon, Israel, Jordan, Palestine, and Syria.....snip~

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phoenicia

In its time Phoenicia was known as Canaan and is the land referenced in the Hebrew Scriptures to which Moses led the Israelites from Egypt and which Joshua then conquered (according to the biblical books of Exodus and Joshua but uncorroborated by other ancient texts and unsupported by the physical evidence thus far excavated). According to the historian Richard Miles, the people of the land recognized "a shared ethnic identity as Can'nai, inhabitants of the land of Canaan yet, despite a common linguistic, cultural, and religious inheritance, the region was very rarely politically united, with each city operating as a sovereign state ruled over by a king" (26). The city-states of Phoenicia flourished through maritime trade between c. 1500-322 BCE when the major cities were conquered by Alexander the Great and, after his death, the region became a battleground in the fight between his generals for succession and empire. Artifacts from the region have been found as far away as Britain and as close as Egypt and it is clear that Phoenician luxury goods were highly prized by the cultures with whom they traded.....snip~

Oh.....I just gave you the learnin.

Why is the concept of race important to the sole surviving species in the Homo genus?
