Brave Polish woman during WW2 saved more than 2,500 Jewish children, by ferrying them out of the Warsaw Ghetto and other places, to live with Christian families.

She also helped feed Jews, who were only allowed 200 calories a day.

At the end of the war, the Nazis discovered her, sentenced her to death, but the Nazis were bribed and let her go.

She was honored as a Righteous Gentile in Israel, but the anti-Semitic Communist government of Poland considered her Persona Non-Grata.

I will do my best, to find a way to contact this lady, and tell her how I greatful I am for her brave deeds.

sadly, I have discovered that she died in 2008.

When she was honored as a Righteous Gentile in Israel, the Communist govt. refused to let her visit to recieve her honor. But she was allowed to visit in 1983.

After Communism fell, Poland awarded her the Order of the White Eagle, Poland's highest civilian decoration. In 1991 she became an honorary citizen of Israel, and she was awarded the Commander's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta.

So much for the claims that the Germans were trying to help Jews from starving.
