In the anti gunner utopia (Paris, France) of all places. How does this happen?

Outspoken anti gun advocate Kim Kardashian gets robbed at gun point in a city that has strict gun regulation. Apparently criminals don't abide by gun control laws. Who knew?

Her usual armed body guards were not around, and could not have protected her anyhow since they cannot legally carry firearms in Paris.

She was robbed of approximately $10 million in jewelry. Allegedly she was tied up and shoved into a bathtub while robbers relieved her of the jewelry, all while she was pleading for her life.

Kanye says that going forward, they are beefing up armed security for her.

How ironic is it that vocal gun control advocates surround themselves with armed guards?

I'd be willing to bet the farm that when she was fearing for her life during the robbery that she was wishing she had a gun.

You don't have $10M in jewelry. You don't count.

He can't have guns anyway, he is a Felon.
Most normal people do not traipse about with 10 Million Dollars in jewelry, and the best jewelry is hard to sell if it is hot.

No, this story stinks on ice, it makes little to no sense, also, some of the Robbers were disguised as Police Officers, there is more to this "Fish story"
    than meets the eye.

In any case, these are not people to waste any sympathy on.

this is why I support all free Americans, even ex-felons, being allowed to own guns, EVERYONE should have the right to protect themselves and their families

all free Americans should be able to conceal their guns too, no permission needed, if potential criminals think everyone "might" have a gun, they are less likely to act in a criminal way

No such thing as an "Ex Felon" Once convicted of a Felony, your Gun Rights go "POOF !!!" GONE FOREVER !!!!
I doubt anyone changing the Law to ever allow unpardoned Felons restoration of their Gun Rights.

so you do not support the 2nd?

shoudl they lose freedom of speech and religion too?

your turning rights into privileges... the 2nd is a right, not a privilege

when you have to have the privilege to have a right... they are no longer rights

it's no different then the porn fight, if the Constitution doesn't protect the least among us, does it really protect anyone? it's a slippery slope

When you are posting picks of your big diamond ring on social media, then don't be shocked if somebody comes for it.

Something about the story just doesn't sound true. I wouldn't be surprised if it's a publicity stunt or insurance fraud. Kanye isn't very financially soluble.

There is indeed no such thing as an ex-felon - once a felon, always a felon.
HOWever.. under federal law, states can reinstate gun rights.

    - - - Updated - - -

According to the constitution, any and every right can be removed through due process - this is why prohibiting felons from owning firearms does not violate the 2nd.

    - - - Updated - - -

    No truer statement.

and I agree with that, but once sentence is complete all rights are restored

now if you want to take someones rights away longer.... simple... give them longer sentences

Everything except Gun Rights, unless there is a restoration of disability, to restore Gun Rights or a Presidential Pardon, it is not likely, and hiring an attorney is $$$$$$ very very expensive.

I do not agree, I think this is a slippery slope, when you turn rights into privileges, they are no longer rights

if you want to punish someone longer, you give them longer sentences... it;s that simple really

I have done nothing personally, society has deemed it so, once convicted of a Felony, society has seen it fit that a convicted person is no longer to be trusted with firearms and thereby prohibited from acquiring or possession of firearms.

It doesn't apply to me so I haven't researched it, but I think Texans can get gun rights back 5 years after completing their sentence and parole. I think it's different for each state.

it was a general you.... not you personally

I agree, but it's unconstitutional imo.... a slippery slope, easily resolved by longer sentences

and as the right always says, gun ban laws do not effect criminals, only those that follow the law..... I agree

It depends on level of prosecution, if a person is prosecuted at the Federal Court, a Felony conviction results in a criminal record at the Federal level, and the only way to clear that is through "Relief from disability" as far as Rights, specifically Gun Rights, and that program was defunded and not currently operational.

Once convicted of a Felony, Restoration of Rights is a very complicated and expensive endeavor.

Fake people like the Kardasians can't be believed. I would not be a bit surprised if Kim staged this event for sympathy and publicity. However, if this was an actual crime she and her handlers did not have a hand in, then it shows gun free zones like Paris are actually criminal and terrorist safe zones.

I have a hard time believing she was actually traveling around with 10 Million Dollars of jewelry, it makes no sense, even Royalty never have more than a few baubles in actual possession to be worn at some special event, the rest are kept in secure local bank vaults, when traveling, why would she not do likewise and take better precautions ?

    This story stinks on ice.

Then where was Mother during all this ?
Perhaps Mother orchestrated the hiest, the brains behind the crime.

Those are folks that live their lives based on making a statement with everything they do, the General Public eats it up, people like me do not support people like them or bother reading about them, or have any interest in their lives.
    She is rather ugly IMHO.

Nah, I really think she is that stupid. It's the simplest and most logical answer if you think about it.
