This is my nomination for thread of the month for October. Rickysdisciple's post shows some depth of thought and he does a good job of explaining his motivations. The thread is here.

I'd like to make another nomination as well. This one from Raytri:

    Meaning of Free Speech

In it, Raytri transcends party and politics to make a stand for country and for our country men and women. It's a post worthy of commending and honoring in these troubled times.

I'd like to nominate this thread by Statisikhengst. The amount of work and the analysis between polling and the electoral vote from a historical perspective is exhaustive. He shows that states are relatively consistent, over time, in their voting patterns, regardless of candidate or issues, and are thus relatively predictable, even down to states that are geographically and demographically similar, but somehow have different electoral voting histories. Because states have a historical voting consistency, an anomaly, like Utah in this cycle, indicates a stunning transformation, and is likely to be predicative of poor performance nationally for the conservative candidate.
