Can you possibly explain what is wrong with this vessel? In simple words, like for a dummy? I understand you hate it, but why?

Because it's not a big gun battleship designed for warfare a century ago and because the LCS actually have a place in modern warfare (which Apacherat despises).

Anyone else notice how dishonest the headline is?

Why doesn't it read "LCS suffers hull crack WHEN IT COLLIDED WITH ANOTHER SHIP"?

I've heard once aluminum hulls catch fire they can be hard to extinguish.

Depends on the type of aluminum.

    Warships 101:

You don't use aluminum in the construction of warships. Aluminum burns. The Royal Navy ignored that and remember the Falklands War ?

You don't butt aluminum (a non ferrous metal) too steel (a ferrous metal) the results is electrolytic corrosion.

The LCS's were corroding while they were still in the ship yards under construction.

The main gun armament on the LCS is the Bofore 57 mm pop gun. :roflol:

The LCS uses a modular weapons system, meaning it can only go to sea and be capable of undertaking one mission.

The LCS isn't survivable in combat. It couldn't engage anything larger than a ski boat.

Now you know the rest of the story why sailors refer to the LCS as the U.S. Navy's, Little Crappy Ship.

    Good day.
