It seems very clear that Donald Trump will lose this election barring unexpected circumstances. In the death march of his campaign we are noting his assertions of impending fraud and setting the stage for revolt and anger at the loss. What do you folks expect to happen?
If he loses, save for millions of even more pissed off, fat little rednecks than usual, nothing will happen. If he wins (which I believe he will), many things: -He will spend 4-8 years dismantling the Republican Party that tried to destroy him. (Try to understand, Trump was a Democrat for 13 years. At best he's a Liberal Republican). -His win will cause a massive political civil war within the Republican party to the likes of which this country has seen only a few times. Social conservatives, once they realize Trump is actually a liberal populist (which will be sooner than later) will internally revolt to some extent. The Bush's, Romney, the religious factions, all those "Mainstream" elected GOP will be on the cutting board. It will be mass chaos at least for a few years. -Democrats will take the Senate/House very likely in a Trump presidency and keep it for his duration -Race riots among blacks will become common place. Police/black relations will further deteriorate (which I think is unrelated frankly and due to demographic changes with blacks losing out to Hispanics) -Business will love Trump. Trump will be a very popular president because, unknown to many who will vote for him, he is not a real republican but a Liberal Big City Business man first and foremost. He will make popular decisions that will enrage social conservatives to levels we have never seen with a Republican candidate. -His presidency will be the death (and possible reforging or end) of social conservative religious dominance within the GOP. (I think this is a good thing.) That or at least it will be dormant for a long while.
The corporate media will continue to insure there is no discussion of issues or government regardless of the outcome since their corporations control the government. Whoever supported the side that wins will gloat online and whoever supported who loses will whine. However, since voters and average people are irrelevant to government and elections it won't matter.
Assuming the race is close, and it's a close Trump loss, there will be plenty of recriminations against other Republicans. There is an ongoing civil war in the party already, so that will be exacerbated because the blame will fall on the #nevertrump faction. Also of course voter fraud will be blamed because I can already predict there will be plenty of it, but it's only viable on close races. So that will be a state by state thing. Assuming Trump loses and loses big, say more than Romneys defeat, with a voter percentage of over 4% and an electoral blowout where Trump wins less than 200 electoral votes. The #nevertrump crowd cackle with glee and then reach out their hand to everyone theyve called ignorant hate filled racists for the past year and say, On to 2020." But they'll find the party membership dropping like a rock after that I suspect. Or this: Trump wins. The establishment and #nevertrump is discredited, but now that Trump has won they want to jump on the bandwagon. Again, you have people who not only tried to sabotage victory and called everyone racist to boot, but now want to resume what they feel is their God given leadership roles in a movement they tried to destroy. Is that going to be forgiven? Don't think so. The GOPe and #nevertrump will probably move to the Democratic Party. Meanwhile for the Democrats that would be like 2004 only 100 times worse. They'll be in psychiatric care for years and hopefully many will stick to their pledge to leave "Jesusland" for Canada/
I don't really think much will happen but unhinged Trump supporters are openly advocating deadly violence. I'll give Trump credit for one thing: he managed to unite all the most ignorant people in the country in one place for the world to see.
Hitlery is going to get elected; the anti-immigrant fight will die its inevitable death; we'll get 10 million new voters from south of the border; the Second Amendment will be repealed; Syrians will pour in and we will all sit around the campfire, join hands and sing Kum Bah Yah as the Republic disintegrates and goes the way of the Roman Empire.
And I will give Clinton credit for one thing: She has managed to unite all the most dishonest people in the country in one place for the world to see!

After Hilarity takes the Oath of Office: 1. We'll effectively get our asses thrown out of the Middle East. Then, 2. We'll effectively get our asses thrown out of the entire Eastern Hemisphere. Then, 3. We'll undergo an economic collapse after the rest of the world throws off the American Dollar. Then, 4. We'll have a war with Russia and China that we'll probably lose. This will all take about ten years, or slightly more, to accomplish. Hilarity will last four years. But, she will be followed by Michelle Obama for eight years, if the whole corrupted, decayed, dismal thing even lasts that long. But, if it does, we'll have Chelsea Clinton to take us down to the rock-bottom depths of radical socialist ruin. Have a nice life!
Obviously what you expected did not happen. Do not forget who else was a well known Liberal Republican, and was a 2 term President. Richard Nixon. Created the EPA, drug treatment instead of prison for addicts, opened relations with China, and was an advocate of JFK (who was a Conservative Democrat). The two actually had very similar political goals, shared primarily with their hatred of Communism.
