Previous US elections involved two parties with different versions of doing the right thing. Both leaders at the top of the ticket were essentially decent men with divergent perspectives on how to do what is best for Americans.

The battle in this election is different. At the top of the ticket on the Republican side is a man so devoid of decency his own party has turned its back. A man so distasteful internationally he's been called 'a pariah internationally' by Colin Powell and 'stupid' by David Cameron.

Timothy Egan makes it clear what is at stake for Americans:

The issue that the right has with the left is that we're too soft, we're do-gooders, too nice (to refugees and so on). The issue that the left has is that the right doesn't do enough. The happy medium to those two perspectives is likely, well, in the middle.

Trump is different. Trump is mean, possible murderously so. This is a guy who promised to use torture - 'waterboarding and worse' even if it doesn't work. This is a man who said 'I love war'. This is a man who Michael Hayden called "a clear and present danger'.

Way to get it completely wrong. Trump, internationally is the one guy who is talking about winning the one war the west has to fight and trying to avoid the ones we have to avoid. Merkel is in trouble in Germany because the German people are concerned for their safety, BNP and UKIP are gaining ground because the Brits are tired of Cameron et all lying to them about threats from Muslim immigrants.

The war against ISIS is being won. No one is going to war against Russia.

I totally agree with you about Trump. But you ignore the fact that your candidate is equally odious.

You aren't listening or paying attention or both. Since you're so concerned with leftist manufactured Trump scandals you're completely ignoring what Hillary is saying and doing.

The fact is ISIS is losing. The fact is Hillary is not going to war against anyone.

And yet she keeps bad mouthing Russia and is talking about a cyber war along with Obama and wants to continue sanctions against Russia over Ukraine. Too bad ISIS isn't the only problem in the ME.

I think Podesta guy is unwillingly burning down the house. There are some major disclosures there. Once again exposing Hillary Clinton and some of her close allies as complete frauds and liars to say at least.

Wikileaks Releases Another 850 Podesta Emails In Part 8 Of Data Dump; Total Is Now 11,019

Another day, another data dump. In what has become a daily routine, one which forces the Clinton campaign to bring up ever starker (most sexual) scandals involving Trump to provide a media distraction, moments ago Wikileaks released yet another roughly 1,150 emails in Part 8 of its ongoing Podesta Email dump, which brings the total number of released emails to 10,169.

With another 39,000 or so emails left until election day, we expect the emergence of another Trump "sexual assault" accuser to emerge momentarily, just as we predicted yesterday and were proven right not once but twice. After all the public must be distracted from what truly matters.
