Like his wall, the deportation plan and his other scams it turns out Trump's economic plan is a disaster as well. But it doesn't matter - his supporters aren't in it for his economic genius, there are other things about Trump that attract them to him.

This analysis is the latest to confirm Trump's tax plan would substantially increase the debt and it comes from a GOP think tank.

Add this as his latest bait 'n switch:

Obama added over 8 trillion looks like a step in the right direction.

The Democrats, including Senator then President Obama and Senator Clinton increased spending 9% then 18% taking the last Republican deficit in 2007 for a measly $161B to a WHOPPING $1,400B in just two years. Then they kept it over $1,000B for the next 4 years Clinton's policies will do the same.

And her statements that her husband's policies produced the brief surpluses is a flat out lie.

So why are you supporting someone who would double the debt again?

I'm not why are you supporting someone who has already demonstrated they will? The proven record of the policies Clinton is advocating will increase the debt and deficit even more than the assumptions about Trump's.

So obama adds more to the debt than projections for Trump, but that OK? You are so transparent.

If that's what it's going to take to build the wall and make America great again, I'm sold. At least Trump and America will have something to show for it.

What does Obama have to show for his $8 trillion in deficit spending ??? Cash for Clunkers and FA-18's falling out of the skies.

So far, Trump's plans mostly involve cutting taxes and increasing spending. He's going to have to find a way to cut spending far below the Obama level if he isn't going to make the deficit worse faster than Obama did.

Thanks to legacy spending by Republicans who don't seem as concerned about debt and deficits when they are in power.

One of the FIRST things President Obama did was ban an accounting "gimmick" that the Bush Admin used to make deficit projections looks smaller.

With the stroke of a pen $2.7 trillion was added over the next 10 years. Most of it was from war spending, you DO remember the 2 long-term and very expensive wars that Bush started, right?

Gingrich and Kasich cut tax rates and revenues exploded. Bush and Republicans cut tax rates and revenues exploded. In the first case we actually had budget surpluses and the latter a deficit that fell to a measly $161B heading to surplus.

Then the Democrats took control of the budget.

    See above.

And it was Democrats who raised spending 9% in 2008 and then 18% in 2009 taking that last Republican deficit of just $161B to the whopping $1,400B in just TWO YEARS and kept it over $1,000B for the next four.

Are you going to tell is you did not support the democrats?

Bush left this country in a terrible mess, Trump is forced to borrow money so he can pay for the programs necessary to fix it.

Bush and the Republicans handed the Democrats a paltry deficit and low unemployment in 2007. Yes the economy went into an expected slowdown. It was the failures of the Democrats to properly deal with that created the mess.

A convenient loss of memory allows the Dems to claim that Bill Clinton did good things for the economy and not have to mention and remind everyone about the Republican Contract With America that forced Clinton to do those things.

could it possibly put us 10 trillion more in debt? like the last genius did?
And remember these are the same "think tanks" that said Obamacare would shrink the deficit, save us money.

I meant to convey the idea that Trump could just blame Bush and the Democrats would have nowhere to go.

make no mistake about it, Ted Kennedy and Barney Frank are to blame for the meltdown back in 2006, 2007.
Liberal ideas and pandering has put this country so far in debt we may never dig out. But Trump has some balls, so let's give him a chance.
I firmly believe God himself laid his hand down on this last election

Better to do like Eisenhower and build highways. You know, much larger and much smarter infrastructure projects.

I agree, Democrats can't be trusted, but neither can Republicans who are inherently against infrastructure spending. The politicians I mean, not the conservative voters.

I concur 100 %, do as President Eisenhower did, build highways and put a general in charge of rounding up illegal aliens and deporting them.

I suppose Trump could call it "Operation Wetback ll" since Eisenhower already used "Operation Wetback."

Trump is half way there, he has nominated a Marine General, Gen. Kelly as Secretary of Homeland Security.

Do you know why President Eisenhower put a former Army general in charge of "Operation Wetback" ?

Most generals are a-political, aren't yes men and wont allow politicians and loony liberal activist influence them. That's why Eisenhower's "Operation Wetback" was so successful.
