After Katrina all we heard from the AGW cult was this was just the beginning. The gulf was warmer than ever before and hurricanes were going to become stronger and more frequent. And yet another AGW prediction bites the dust. When will you true believers wake up?

CNSNews.com) – Today marks the completion of a record-breaking 11 years without a major hurricane striking the U.S. mainland, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
“I can confirm that as of October 24, 2016, it will be a complete 11 years since a major hurricane has struck the United States, as defined by the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale of being a Category 3 or higher,” meteorologist Dennis Feltgen, spokesman for NOAA’s National Hurricane Center (NHC), told CNSNews.com.
“The current streak of no major hurricane landfalls onto the U.S. mainland remains intact. The last one to do so was Hurricane Wilma on October 24, 2005,” Feltgen said.
Category 3 and higher hurricanes are characterized by sustained wind speeds of 111 mph or more and strong storm surges that are capable of causing “devastating” or “catastrophic” damage.
The current 11-year stretch with no major hurricane striking the United States is the longest since record-keeping began, according to NOAA data going back to 1851"

Dr. Curry is quoted in the 2006 Nature link above ("The inference is that if you keep warming things up, you're going to get more intense storms,") but after 10 years there is still no evidence that there is any link between global warming and hurricane intensity.

My god this is hilarious. Do you really think there are LESS hurricanes? No son there are not less hurricanes or even less intense hurricanes. Look at the magic word.....LANDFALL. LOL

    From this quote

Where is the evidence they are not stronger and more frequent? LOL

The link I provided includes data which shows they are not stronger.

Where is the link that the overwhelming consensus of scientists said that by 2016 hurricanes will be stronger?

Ten years ago the story line was that global warming would result in more hurricanes or greater intensity. But the data does not show this trend as noted by the IPCC in AR5.

The AGW alarmists. Are you saying that they didn't push that narrative of global warming resulting in more hurricanes of greater intensity ??

The AGW alarmists? Do they have monthly meetings? Is there a newsletter? Is the field of climate science responsible for anything anyone says about AGW? Really?

If the prediction did not come true then those who made the predictions can be labelled alarmists. But again, are you saying that they didn't push that narrative of global warming resulting in more hurricanes of greater intensity ??

This they is very mysterious. Where do they meet? Who is their leader? Are you responsible for EVERYTHING deniers say?

Clumsy attempt at deflection that. ^^ Now again, are you saying that they didn't push that narrative of global warming resulting in more hurricanes of greater intensity ??

Again who is "they"? This gets to the core of your argument that there is this mysterious "they" that have organized the largest conspiracy the world has even known. What are their names, who is their leader and when do they meet?

OK, since you are preoccupied with your little word games I'll do your homework for you.

    Is this what you mean

There is observational evidence of an increase in intense
tropical cyclone activity in the North Atlantic since about 1970,
with limited evidence of increases elsewhere. There is no clear
trend in the annual numbers of tropical cyclones. It is difficult
to ascertain longer-term trends in cyclone activity, particularly
    prior to 1970. {1.1}

Are you saying they are lying?

Keep looking - the search function is useful. I can't do all your homework for you. It is refreshing to see an alarmist argue that there is no connection between global warming and cyclone intensity and frequency.

Table SPM.3. Examples of possible impacts of climate change due to changes in extreme weather and climate events, based on projections to the mid- to late 21st century.

So what the heck does 'likely' mean? Does it mean a prediction of absolute certainty? Nope ... Does it mean "push that narrative of global warming resulting in more hurricanes of greater intensity"? Nope. Here's what it means:

Saying that something is 65% likely is not exactly "pushing a narrative". Oh, and last I checked it is not yet the "mid- to late 21st century"

And as I quoted earlier ...

That btw is from the op.

    Where are these hurricanes?

"If this trend continues, it is realistic to expect a ten-fold increase in hurricanes like Katrina. That amounts to once every two years,” says geophysicist Aslak Grinsted, of Copenhagen University’s Niels Bohr Institute."
