There's no way the Dems in the Senate could filibuster a member of their own body is there?

That is EXACTLY who he should pick.

I think the Senate would confirm him to get rid of him if no other reason.

Jeff Sessions is going to be confirmed bigly just like the rest of them. Don't believe the doom and gloom things are about to take off you don't want to be left behind.

The dems are playing games by holding up Betsy DeVos knowing that if Sessions were confirmed before her he could not vote for her as he would no longer be a senator

That's just sick. Do they not have personal lives to live and let the rest of the country go about its business?

DeVos was confirmed about the same time you posted the above.

About time too now let's get on with the rest of the government's business or is that too democratic for Democrats?

5 out of 15 confirmed so far. You have to go back to Washington to find so slow an approval

I like Ted Cruz and would have voted for him had he been the nominee but that said, he isn't qualified to be a Supreme.

He was a lawyer, not a judge and when was the last time he even took a case?

Ted Cruz has his faults all right but he also has his ways. He could easily end up being the 2020 nominee if Trump has a stroke or something.

He is ready 2020 if Pence take over after Trump or in 2024 when Trump dies 1 year before.

Forget Cruz for anything. I was hoping he would get voted out. I don't want to live in an Iranian style theocracy that he would love to create.

    .

Ted needs to stay in the Senate and kick Joaquin Castro's azz if he challenges him.

Cruz is the most widely-loathed senator in the country. Even Republicans hate him, for many good reasons.

I agree 1000 % ... Ted Cruz is the perfect supreme Court pick. So young , so smart , so constitutional . So American. Great pick . And Democrats everywhere will explode, two birds one stone.

Well actually the Republicans have held up the vote on Sessions so he could vote for DeVos.

I take back my previous assertion senate Democrats wouldn't filibuster a member of their own body for the court. Of course they would it's the only bit of power they have left. You think Nancy Pelosi has any power left?
