What a shocker.
This is a growing problem, and one that we might associate with the phenomenon of "fake news" and issue of people failing to be critical of what they read (or being too critical), based on their personal biases.

Since the election victory of Donald Trump, numerous stories have surfaced about hate crimes allegedly tied to supporters of the businessman or to his rhetoric, some true and many not.

Although the Southern Poverty Law Center reports that there have been hate crimes since the election, a number of the incidents have been disproven or shown to be hoaxes or ill-timed jokes. Here are some noteworthy ones.

A Muslim teenager from Long Island by the name of Yasmin Seweid told authorities that she was harassed on the subway by men who yelled "Donald Trump!" while trying to remove her hijab. Within two weeks, the police said that she admitted she was lying because she broke her curfew. She now faces charges of filing and false report.

Immediately after the election, a Muslim woman in Louisiana claimied that she was attacked and had her hijab ripped off. In a statement released not long after that, the Lafayette Police Departmenet said that while investigating the incident, the woman "admitted that she fabricated the story about her physical attack as well as the removal of her hijab and wallet by two white males."

A hateful note on a white board at Elon Univeristy in North Carolina that read "Bye Bye Latinos Hasta La Vista" was actually satire written by a Latino student at the school, according to the Elon News Network.

"The message was written by a Latino student who was upset about the results of the election and wrote the message as a satirical commentary," Smith Jackson, vice president for Student Life, told ENN.

Hateful notes allegedly sent to a North Park University student in Chicago were "fabricated" according to the school's president. The student said on Nov. 14 she had received messages taped to her door containing harassing language and mentions of Trump.

“We are confident there is no further threat of repeated intolerance to any member of our campus community stemming from this recent incident,” the university’s President David Parkyn said in a statement.

In a widely-shared Facebook post, University of Minnesota student Kathy Mirah Tu alleged that she was accosted by white men and told to "go back to Asia." The University's police department and the Minneapolis Police Department both said they had no record of the incident. After receiving thousands of comments and shares, Tu's Facebook post disappeared and her account was deactivated.

Have you noticed that the fake hate crime hoaxes almost always come from people who all lean the same way? When was the last time a redneck reported a bogus crime and claiming it was done by some sort of liberal? If they've happened I haven't seen them.

 

They don't need to fabricate them. There are plenty of real world example right on film.

 

It really speaks volumes that the left has to manufacture hate crimes in order to keep their various causes relevant.

You won't see it... It's always liberals spitting hoaxes about hate crimes out. And as of late, they're so desperate to make Trump look bad, they're coming out in droves. I don't know how it feels to fail over and over and over when you try your best to negatively impact someone you loathe for no warranted reason other than he's not your political representative, but I can only imagine that it stings more and more every time and it appears to draw more and more reactions that keep failing.

It's almost like pinning down a child that's kicking and screaming. At some point, they HAVE to get tired and quit, right?

I think he was referring to rednecks or Republicans fabricating hate crimes... Examples like the white Trump voter in Chicago being beat up for being white and supporting Trump.

 

Southern Poverty Law Center is a hate group. Nothing they say can be taken at face value. They are the ones who inspired a liberal to take a gun into a conservative 501c3 to kill everyone there only to be stopped by a security guard.

I'd have more faith in letting Harvey Milk be in charge of a Boy Scout troop.

Obama lets us get hacked then says the hack interfered with the election because Hillary lost.....the left makes fake news, then complains fake news caused hillary to lose. Who does not see a pattern?

 

Your videos (and I have no sound here)) don't seem to support your original post. Are you, for example, attempting to tell us that Milo Yiannopoulos staged that? I know for a fact he didn't. I don't even know what your position is at this point.

 

No. I'm simply challenging people to support their assertions. I can't believe you needed that explained to you.

 

My position is there is violence out there but only one side seems at this point to feel the need to for whatever reason fabricate fake events.

A red neck would not make up a hate crime. Most of them actually have a moral center and are loyal to a fault to their family and friends. These modern liberals cannibalize one another if they cannot direct it towards trump supporters and trump. They really are not nice people when they misbehave and throw their tantrums and tell tales out of school. The FDR democrats have got to take this our party back from these people and their politicians. They are far to toxic and antidemocratic in their authoritarian habits.
