What is this technology?

My brother's girlfriend got me a Christmas present. It's some kind of talking hockey puck. Her name is "Alexa" and does whatever I ask.

Just now I asked it to play music, and it did. I asked it the weather...gave it to me.

I still use a stereo so this is new to me. How the hell does it do this? It even knows my name.

 

If this is true, I may have to get one too. I don't know much about this technology, but it sounds pretty interesting.

 

It's unbelievable. However, I don't quite trust it yet. If it's this smart...what else does it know about me?

It was reverse engineered from crashed alien crafts. It is a device that will enventually control humans by at first being helpful and slowly it will stop doing what you ask it and will start demanding that you serve it. It also gas the capability to dispense a anesthesia type gas and put you to sleep if it detects that you are starting to think for yourself. That is not a gift it is a. Ontrol devise. Aliens have over time lidnapped humans and infused thought control chips in their bodies. You better ask your brother's GF if she had any missing time over the last several years. She could very well be an alien soldier programmed to help the aliens take over the world.

It's a small computer that has voice recognition, and is integrated with Amazon music as well as the internet. IIRC, for it to work you have to subscribe to Amazon music (or Amazon Prime).

I'm sure that your brother's girlfriend had to configure it so that it would use your wifi, and know your name.
