When considering what direction the President elect seems to be heading in his choices for Cabinet and policy, do you feel his choices and decisions are good for America?

Yes... I believe that his choices for Cabinet
are going to help to lift America out of a mentality of
depression that will have far reaching implications even for
    real estate prices.

Could a real estate boom plus better Fed policy pay off USA national debt?

Yes absolutely, his bright and breezy open style is a breath of fresh air and makes Obama and Hillary look like amateurs and x-files swamp creatures!
Bravo to the voters for rallying behind him as he leads America across the swamp to the green sunlit fields beyond..;)

1- Don't put yourself down mate, you, me and anybody else could run the USA or any other country because we'd simply put together an A-team of advisers around us and listen to their expert opinions, then choose which one to go with..:)

2- I don't see much love for God and Country here-

What a fascinating idea that almost anybody could run the USA if they
approached the problem with sincerity and humility......

I actually have a rival or two in mind for President Donald Trump......

Tillerson is already in Putin's pocket
I have always hated Sessions - such a repulsive little man
Carson has no business being there. Surgeon General? Sure. Housing? WTF? Pure cronyism
DeVos - now we have a religion nut born and bred in the Amway scam, running education. So what's next, creationism is taught as science?
Puzder for labor? He opposes minimum wage increases even though they are below poverty level, on the basis it will cause job losses. Apparently he means the jobs that don't pay a living wage for full time workers/
Perry for Energy? The Department of Energy was the one he couldn't remember that he wanted to eliminate! And he's an idiot.

Flynn is a scary nut. Bannon is a scary nut.

All in all I'd say his picks are catastrophically bad on most counts. It is going to be a very damaging and dangerous administration.

I mean, I never liked the guy. To be fair, I never liked Hillary either. If it were any other candidate in the race, Trump would've lost. But I don't doubt that he'll get stuff done in his presidency, mainly because the Congress is entirely one party. In fact, the only way I'd think we'd have a problem is if Trump actually goes against what Congress wants, which I could definitely see happening.

As for Trump himself and his actions, I am not really pleased with his Cabinet. I agree with some of his ideas and detest some of his others, but of course, Congress makes the laws, so those don't really matter. What I really don't want to have happen is Trump appoints a stupid person to the Supreme Court.

As for Congress itself, at least stuff will get done, laws will be passed. I like the one party control. Maybe we can actually go somewhere.

Here's to 2017, a year of political comedy!

I like his cabinet picks so far. Hey he isn't even president yet. Think of it like this, how could he ever be any worse than either Bush or Obama? The libs won't give him any cooperation at all and I just hope he will brush past that without having to feel like he has to have a big twitter fight every time one of them attacks him because that will be at least 100 times a day.

His cabinet is filled primarily with the greediest, most vile and bigoted pigs on the planet. In other words, they are every bit as disgusting as the Orange Clown who, unfortunately, will slither into our White House on January twentieth.

Six Bankruptcies, three divorces, countless charges of sexual harassment; the university fraud (he wouldn’t have settled for millions if it weren’t true); many charges that he failed to pay contractors, suppliers, workers; the list of how he scammed investors is long - check out his disastrous history of ruining (rather than running) casinos; lets his sweaty adolescent infatuation with Vladimir Putin blind him to the danger Russia poses to the entire free world; trashes our intelligence agencies at every opportunity; thinks he knows everything about everything, posts never-ending streams of brainless and childish Tweets, he is consumed by greed; he’s thin-skinned and insecure; he's already become an international laughingstock and he hasn’t even taken office yet.

This cheesy lunatic, trump, has a horrible history, so what could possibly go wrong? And still, the lemmings who support him will cheer as the king of trailer trash turns this great country’s economy and social fabric into a smoking ruin.

As an external observer I'm quite optimistic about Trump as President. It's not a professional of politics and he hasn't got all those risky connections that a politician with a long career can have [he's got more freedom, in a certain sense].

His business relations could influence a bit his policies, but as we saw with Berlusconi in Italy, it's more leftist propaganda than reality. Overall considering that in US the disengagement from business of the President is well more clear than in Italy.

He's pragmatic and he has hired the right "coworkers", suitable persons for the job they are going to do.

He's exactly the kind of brash, uncouth, authoritarian, trivial, infantilising, and corrosive person I'd expect to see elevated to top slot given the decline of Western culture and society.

It's a mixed bag. Some things he's done are pretty good--I agree with the Sessions' nomination. I disagree with his crazy anti-vaccine stuff, and am not a big fan of his SOS nominee.

Trump will continue the corporate governance of the US as all other Presidents before him have done for the past 40 years.

You think someone who believes "good people don't smoke marijuana" should be the top cop of the country?

I hope you say that as we are going off the cliff. My dad used to say the less the government does the better. He was right. Every time we hear about the government doing anything it's never good. It's a war, or a new tax or a new government agency so that means more laws more rules more cops . How did prohibition ever work out ? It's good for them to constantly bicker and fight and wheel and deal. That's how government is supposed to work. We now have a totalitarian government . Just like Russia and China and the time we had a great depression and then there was that time when the W crashed the entire world economy. We forgot about that already , Obama straightened out that mess a long time ago.

I don't know any good people who smoke marijuana. Regardless, the AG's job is not to make the law, but to enforce them as written. If you want the marijuana laws changed, get Congress to do it. That's the way things work in a lawful society.

You're talking to one, I smoke everyday. The parents who took their sick children to Colorado to use CBD oil, are they bad people? I hope you're pretending to be stupid, because your impression would be dead on! EVERYONE knows AG's have prosecutorial discretion and would be perfectly within his rights to pick and choose which laws to enforce/prioritize, and which not to.

We all know bankers broke the law, but not one prosecution. Why? Prosecutorial discretion, that's why.

what is interesting is seeing foreigners voting in this poll. Frankly I doubt few, if any Americans, would even bother responding to a poll on say an Australian board like this asking people what they think about whomever was the last elected PM of that Country

I don't know if you're a good person or not--based on your handle, I would bet not. Are the kids smoking CBD oil? I never said anything about ingesting cannabis, just about smoking. Smoking anything (besides meats) is stupid.

Anyway, the law stands. If you want it changed, get your Congressman to get started on it. It's not appropriate to choose an AG because they refuse to apply a legitimately passed and constitutional law that you happen to not like.

    That is a good analogy......
it is like a cloud of depression is lifting because
President Obama and Hillary...... really did think of most of us
as rather "deplorable" and we knew that we could never become
the nearly perfectly politically correct people that they expected us to be.

Let's hope that America's DNC will choose better next time.......
