Economy There is a need for more twenty four hour businesses and the easing of local ordinances to do so that those in need of employment and those in need of products may be satisfied. Abandoned and condemned spaces should be utilized for publicly owned businesses. Also the United States and itÂ’s largest and wealthiest private businesses should be required by law to hold its headquarters and important operations within the United States on its soil. If a company so important and large to the U.S. economy in monetary value should decide to leave the United States in whole or in most part such company should face a large fine equal to a large portion of its net worth. This unless it be properly negotiated and agreed upon by the United States Congress signed by the president and approved by the U.S. Supreme Court within the same or more strict fashion and processes as a monopoly would be sorted and held accountable. There is no need for more 24/7 businesses. That is what the internet is for. The only clear use for condemned buildings is to create jobs bringing them down instead of pouring tax money into rehabing something that could be replaced more cheaply.
Few thoughts.... You are trying to tackle unemployment from the supply side. Supplying more goods and services isn't going to help unless they're people who can create the demand for goods being supplied. I mean do you think the problem is that stores can't supply what people want in the time they have to purchase today? You need to think about how to raise demand. Once you figure that out, you'll realize that supply will follow all by itself. Forcing companies to keep their businesses here overlooks the reasons they left. Forcing them to come back may put them at a competitive disadvantage. Find out why they left in the first place and start from there. I don't have a problem with fines per say, but the fines should be paid to the States rather than the Federal Government. This will incentivize the states to monitor corporations (while not creating a conflict of interest as companies will defend themselves in Federal Court). Not because I believe in "states rights", but because fines paid the government is regressive in that they take money out of the economy.

Interesting fact.... Approximatly 145k new people (net) enter the job market each month. Subtract that number from the number of jobs added and you get the net job growth.
CNSNews? Can't do better? From the CNS article: "People over age 16 who are no longer working or even looking for work, for whatever reason (retirement, school, personal preference, or gave up), are counted as not participating in the labor force." So IOW the numbers are pretty meaningless. Remember we are in the era of massive numbers of baby boomers retiring. That's just one point rendering the numbers meaningless.
