    Waitress Kelly Carter said a couple had written on the receipt: "Great service don't tip black people."
    Owner Tommy Tellez told BBC News the response has been "phenomenal".
    People have been dropping by the restaurant to give Ms Carter cash, Mr Tellez said, and a YouCaring campaign has raised over $300 (£245) for her.

    Yah my money is on it being fake. Compliment the service before being racist? A racist would have found something to complain about also....not offer a compliment.

    Then it makes more sense.

    I was trying to be subtle.

    This will sound bad, but.......If someone is going to leave a note like that, it would say "We don't tip (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)s." It's kind of like an armed robber being afraid to cuss. You won't see it very often.

    Actually, it is a Youcaring.com page, and it has raised $2,262.00. On the Youcaring page it has a picture of the receipt showing the customer's scribble name. That scribble does not match the note left at the bottom. I am not saying that it is not authentic, but it is questionable.

    Further, if authentic, I would support outing and the public ridiculing of this couple. This type of behavior is unacceptable no matter their race. How many African-Americans will say the same thing of the BLM group?

    Maybe I'm a bad deplorable but it doesn't make sense.
    I can't see a racist paying a compliment but not a tip. I'd go with fake news just to start up a go fund me page.

    The youcaring receipt doesn't match the receipt from the BBC story. Or they made a copy for the youcaring page.
