No 2A if they are their own country.

    Likely.
Of course, if CA leaves the union, a lot of people will leave CA, so few will care if they outlaw guns.

The democrats will not allow CA to secede, for, without CA, they are but a fringe minority element on the political landscape.

And without Texas the right-wing is just a lot of space full of cattle, trees, and rocks.

    So what's your point?

His point was clear, and your response did not address it,

No, they won't outlaw guns. The cops, bodyguards and Hollywood studios will still have them.

And the gangs and other criminals, too. Vote is still out on whether they'll allow the National Guard to have them. Or even exist.

I am going to say that California will not secede. Where will they get all their funding? They have a big economy, but they are also reliant on federal funding which they would lose if they left.

The US Government will likely want their stuff back form the CANG.

Hoover Dam provides a significant amount of power to SoCal, power than can be used elsewhere -- how will CA make up the difference?

Hmm. That's interesting. I wonder what the percentage of dem voters would be without CA?

With no federal funding, the tax increases to maintain the welfare state for illegal immigrants will make California unaffordable to live for most working folks.

    It's not going to happen.

Agreed. I myself will be one of those seeking political asylum if CA leaves the union.

When you actually stop to think about the myriad ways in which we are tied together, and the actual costs associated with doing something like seceding, you begin to realize what a nutty idea it really is. Then again, California is known to have more than it's fair share of fruits and nuts, so I suppose anything's possible...

Although I think it's unlikely that any secession movement will go anywhere once a more serious eye looks at the costs involved, I imagine that of course they would ban guns. I mean the whole impetus of secession is to establish a liberal wish list wonderland, so that means no guns.

    In California, up is down.

That's all you really need to understand about that place.

I'd love to see Trump pull all the military bases out of CA.

Their entire economy (other than income from porn and porn-lite) would collapse.

CA could never pay all the welfare and entitlements for its hoards of illegals and other dependents on its own. They would have to start selling off land to the Chinese.

If Ca does leave, I believe they will slowly move to towards a ban on all firearms. We do have a strong economy, but even with high taxes, Gov Brown can't balance the budget. They can have Hillary for president!

CA isn't leaving. The Pacific Ocean is a much more defendable border than Nevada, Oregon and Arizona

If California leaves the union then republican northern California will leave California and rejoin the U.S.

Then after California gives up all their guns Mexico will conquer California because they think it already belongs to them and they make up a lot of its population as it is.
