Thread: Trump berates CNN reporter: 'You are fake news'

They deserve criticism for running with the story, but I'm sorry, this is absolutely hilarious: the man who thought that birtherism was newsworthy, who has shared National Inquirer stories, and who hides behind "Well that's just what some people are saying" excuses at every turn . . . is criticizing CNN for fake news. The snake deserves everything coming at him.
"I do whine because I want to win and I'm not happy about not winning and I am a whiner and I keep whining and whining until I win." - Donald Trump . . . yes, that's an actual quote

    Not surprising, no Trumbie could.

I really wish there was a clever combination of Trump and Zombie. I just may start calling them Homer J Thomsons instead? Thankfully it looks like I'll be schoolin' this one for awhile. I think I'll get it down.

Based on their actions, why should they get a question?

Every other news organization was allowed to ask their questions.

If they can act like professionals then I'm sure they'll be treated as professionals.

Trump the president elect, holding his first news conference in almost 6 months, spent part of it yelling,r repeatedly, at a reporter whom apparently represented an organization that Trump did not care for, CNN.

The accusation he hurled was that CNN is fake news, apparently in response to CNN reporting on Trump.

While I understand Trump's frustration at being exposed as, well, Trump, is this indicative of the sort of behavior the president elect will continue to exhibit? Public meltdowns and yelling at the press when they are perceived as being less than adoring?

Hilariously, after refusing to tkae a question and calling CNN fake news, his next question was from Breitbart.

refused to take a question from a CNN reporter during his press conference, berating the network for “fake news.”

"Your organization is terrible," Trump told CNN’s Jim Acosta when he tried to ask a question.

"You're attacking us, can you give us a question?” Acosta replied.

"Don't be rude. No, I'm not going to give you a question. You are fake news," Trump responded, before calling on a reporter from Breitbart.

CNN on Tuesday night reported that intelligence officials had briefed Trump on an unverified dossier alleging that the Russian government is in possession of compromising information about him.

The 35-page document — made up of a collection of memos filled with explosive claims about the billionaire's relationship to Russia — has reportedly been circulating among journalists and officials for at least a few week
Not fake, properly, but politically oriented [like the posts of the members of this forum, to make it clear]. It's a pivotal difference.

You can tell something real in a way that it seems to be something different. You don't tell lies, you make a politically oriented reconstruction.

If it walks like a duck..... etc. etc. CNN got what it deserved.
" A Federalist lady...so terrified of what would happen to the family Bible if Jefferson became president ... took it to the only Jeffersonian she knew and asked him to hide it for her....

'... he finally said, 'if all the Bibles are to be destroyed, what is the use of bringing yours to me? ....'

She replied, 'It will be perfectly safe with you. They'll never think of looking in the house of a Democrat for a Bible'.

I don't have a belief system. Religions are unpleasant; they start wars, their clerics get a free pass from their boss for buggering little boys and ruining their lives, they allow nuns to beat small children with sticks, they spawn bastards like Fred Phelps. I have no time for stupidity and cruelty, nor for those who hide behind a position of trust only to betray and abuse it in the most disgusting way. I have nothing but contempt for religions.

Trump was spot on. Good to have a president describe these POS liars for what they are
Cheney was the second executive from the White House to shoot someone in the face, Clinton was the first

Getting into the non-governmental DNC servers and Podesta's email by typing "password" required a lot of effort by high level operatives I'm sure.

Unfortunately you displayed parts of your belief system.

They must be getting used to denying (*)(*)(*)(*) that Donald denies only to have him turn around and admit it

And in principle I agree with you. Maybe it wasn't so much what Trump did than how he did it. I mean he clearly has problems with their journalistic integrity, valid one's I'll grant. NOT answering the questions of such an organization would be sensible, as a form of punishment. But see, this is where I would differ.

I wouldn't passive aggressively ignore CNN, I would either publicly announce that they aren't welcome in the pit and lay out my reasoning why. I would make it a matter of record and make my arguments strong enough to stand on their own. I'd conclude that, in time I may let CNN back into the fold if they can demonstrate journalistic integrity worthy of my time.
    OR
I would answer the twits question straight away, crush it then use my time dismantling his organization and its roughshod journalism.
If he started demanding anything from me I wouldn't waste my breath berating CNN, but rather point out that he is on my time, and his disrespect of my Press Conference has cost CNN access to the next one. Then I'd rip into his organizations shoddy journalistic practices.

What he did wasn't the worst thing he could've done but it came of as unhinged, and obviously is spraying ink all over his "tough guy" demeanor, depending on who you ask. It was rather like a drunk strutting, sure it got him where he wanted to go, but with neither grace, precision or responsibility.
