Set to be released in April is 24 carat gold { plated } and features a Black { African American } Lady Liberty. Due to the Coinage Act of 1792 all coins are required to feature an impression emblematic of Liberty. I remember in the 60's when the Kennedy Half dollar came out. Everyone plus their cousins had to have one.I think most every American did.Nowadays they are worth nothing.I still have a few.I also have an Eisenhower Silver $ 20 dollar coin.
$100 coin? Yikes. I'd hate to confuse that with a quarter and drop it in a toll booth by mistake. - - - Updated - - - Who's going to walk around with a pocket full of $100 coins?
The pic was up at some site.It is thick looking { like what a $ 100 dollar coin should look }. It has a nice Impression of a Black Lady.hard to say what era or period she is supposed to come from.Could be from the early days of Slavery. Lady Liberty has a serious look on her face {strong and willful } and her hair is braided into a bun.Very nicely done Impression.
One time, I went back in time and met George Washington. He wasn't nearly as silver as I thought he'd be
There was a segment on the Hugh Hewitt radio show last week with the President of Hillsdale college. He teaches a Government/Constitution course er somethin'.A very mild-mannered { not like Clark Kent } guy who has a pleasant voice.Has a book out.About Washington. He was explaining to Hewitt that back in his day George Washington was Very handsome and viewed by the gals as if Clark Gable.Plus he was somewhat tall.Rode his horse like a equestrian.I kid you not.
I've had some silver coins and bars for eons. However, many people have no concept of the worth of gold and silver coins.
Where are these people when I'm walking the streets!? I think people just don't trust anything when they're told it's for free.
