You identify American Democrats with socialism but I can tell you that most American Democrats are considered in Europe to the right of centre. How can Hillary Clinton claim to have socialist values when her whole support was paid for by capitalist funding? If further proof is needed a number of Democrats voted against the bill to import cheaper drugs into America. Most Democrats are career politicians; they are in politics to ride the gravy train and certainly not in government to support socialist ideals. If youre not convinced then look at the few socialists in the Democratic Party; Sanders without doubt is a socialist when he is compared with Hillary then the difference is obvious. Whether you are pro or anti socialist is not the point but to label someone a leftist when they are clearly is not only wrong, its stupid.

Then you have no understanding as to what economic globalization is. It is driven by a particular form of capitalism, which seeks to maximize profits by finding slave labor wages. To call what drives globalization socialist is utter absurdity. How can this not be obvious?

unfair trade or globalization ruins both socialism and capitalism, it turns socialism into national socialism or communism as seen under nazi germany or soviet russia, and it turns capitalism into crony capitalism as we see today in America. the crony rich tricked the peasants into adopting it as part of their ideology so that the richer countries help the poorer countries at the expense of their middle classes, while making the rich richer.. this was to prevent world war 3, but they also knew the 'lazy and entitled peasants' fought for freedom from england and would want to make their country great again someday.
On the Republican side I believe there is a thread comparing Trump with Hitler which is absurd. Their characters are completely different in all aspects. Hitler served in WW1 and though the guys he served with thought him a weird loner, he served with distinction. While Trump dodged the Nam enlistment five times with a sore foot and the help of his daddy’s millions. Though both could hold a crowd it is hard to know what Trump really believes in, while with Hitler it would have been easy to understand his beliefs. Hitler, the introverted psychotic, Trump, the extroverted ring master. No, there’s no comparison between the two.

That makes sense if you forget the vast majority of democrats threw the only standing socialist under the bus.
