MLK's sainthood cannot be tarnished by facts. Even though the Founders are constantly demonized as slaveowners, not a single negative thing can be acknowledged in the life of MLK.
I am open for suggestions. Who do you think is the greatest man in American history? Ps. Mine was not a "claim". I said 'probably'.
I personally have nothing against MLK, the man and his achievements, but what does bother me is how the modern US society now views - or lack of attention towards others - the rest of our historical leaders. Somehow MLK appears to be the only figure who ever existed, for he seems to be the only ever mentioned or talked about, in media or elsewhere. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Happy MLK Day!! According to an article that I read on the Pew Research Center website, a record 12 percent of new marriages were interracial in 2013. There are 6 times more interracial marriages today, in this country, than there were prior to 1970 and attitudes regarding interracial marriage have evolved dramatically. Having family members of other races is the best way to deter racism. Most of us find it difficult to hate family. These families are helping us evolve into the type of society in which MLK's dream can be realized.
Not when you factor in that interracial marriages are more likely to end in divorce. Children who are biracial often have identity issues. https://www.baylor.edu/lariatarchives/news.php?action=story&story=33756 Human beings generally stayed within their races for thousands upon thousands of years, going all the way back to the beginning. Perhaps that's why even babies have a racial bias. This Marxist idea that humanity needs to blend into a nondescript brown blob in order to "deter racism" is a relatively recent idea, and is very harmful, as it destroys the unique attributes that the various races have, as well as the cultures that are associated with them.
Interracial marriages were illegal back in the 1950s because America used to have a racial caste system, in which the ruling white race and others were segregated. It was an old colonial system derived from the British Empire and white settlers needed to be separated from the natives because there was a fear that they would betray the mother country through intermarriages and switch sides. MLK may be a part of the reason why the racist law banning interracial marriages was dropped in America but the root cause was the fall of the British Empire and the collapse of the old colonial system in the 1950s. The Johnson administration had to keep up with the rest of the world by getting rid of segregationist laws. Otherwise, it would have been embarrassing to call itself the beacon of the free world.
There has always been racial mixing, and it has always had both good and bad results. Average people desiring a traditional, peaceful existence should IMO generally avoid it. I also tend to agree that a genetic assortment built up slowly over eons should not be carelessly abandoned with no consideration of the possible ecological costs. I feel the same way toward this issue that I do toward the loss of other species, such as elephants.
Of course the Marxists already know this. White Genocide. It's their goal. Subvert White culture with brown peoples and cultures.
As I said, attitudes have evolved on this issue and I expect this to continue. There are too many prominent, successful biracial people to convince most people that race mixing is tragic. Your point of view is anachronistic.
The negative images were embarrasing, and he had to act but I don't think Johnson expected so much change to occur in only a couple of decades.
And ignoring how stupid the idea of white genocide sounds since only brain-dead racists think it's a real thing.
Well considering they, like everyone else, are stuck with a scumbag like Trump as president, they deserve something to feel good about, no?
Just curious, but what is the new "president elect" who claims he loves "the mexicans and the blacks" going to do about so called "white genocide"?
Trump tweeted about this subject yesterday and he's much more liberal than John McCain who refused to recognise this national holiday.
Man, Trump is literally urinating in the faces of his alt-right/white nationalist supporters. I love it!
