You can read the entire article, which by the way isn't an OP, it's in the Politic's section, and there's zero reference to Blacks who supported Trump, zero. In fact, there's nothing in the article that doesn't support the Times position which they reveal in the first few sentences; President-elect Donald J. Trump is engaged in a high-profile feud with some of the country’s most prominent African-American leaders, setting off anger in a constituency already wary of him after a contentious presidential campaign.

That's spin, pure & simple. Trump engaged Lewis after Lewis went on NBC & stated he doesn't think Trump's a legit president. That's the simple fact of the matter. Simply put, Lewis attacked Trump & Trump responded. So, when the Times states Trump's engaged in high-profile feud with prominent Black leaders, the truth is THEY are engaged in a feud with him, not the other way around. And, to support the spin the times pulls a quote from a Black professor; “I don’t think we have ever had a president so publicly condescending to what black politics means”. So, where's the evidence to support such a claim? Well, it's not in the Times, that's for sure.

The article is littered with pull quotes, some uglier than others, but none offering much in way of substance. They're all racially constructed, bitterly anti-Trump and clearly purposed to support & justify racial backlash against Trump. Pathetically irresponsible.

Ex-Black Panther Mason Weaver disavows Congressman John Lewis...

Former Black Panther: ‘John Lewis Is the Illegitimate Congressman’
January 17, 2017 – In an interview with Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” former Black Panther Mason Weaver said Monday that Rep. John Lewis (D-Ga.), who was brutally beaten during a march from Selma to Montgomery, Ala., in 1965, was demonstrating against Democrats at the time, then he later “joined the oppressors” in “presiding over the destruction of the black community.”

True. Every word is true. Lewis has ridden the coattails of his Selma days into a lucrative political career. His district, although not quite in the dismal shape Trump alluded to, isn't a poster child for success, either. Bottom line is this, Lewis is an activist. He's not that bright, but he is loyal to his liberal masters who gave him his talking points & set the stage for his appearance on NBC. He's a pawn, a liberal slave, an intellectual midget, but a well paid one.
