One habit Trump says he will keep as president: tweeting

    Well thank goodness for that.

Turmp actually has the audacity to state he does not like tweeting, that he has other things he could be doing, but he has to, has to tweet because of the media.

Which is odd because a fair portion of his tweets are outrageous lies it seems.

Now, as the man said he woudl tone done the tweets, and his wife is working oh so tirelessly to end the plague of cyber bullying, as president Trump vows to keep on using social media as what has appeared to become his main propaganda and rage outlet.

    http://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-trump-media-idUSKBN1521OD

U.S. President-elect Donald Trump plans to select the media representatives who are given access to the presidential press briefing room, but will not move the room out of the White House, he said in interview with Fox News broadcast on Wednesday.

Trump, whose election campaign was punctuated by a stream of Twitter messages, also said he plans to keep tweeting when he takes office on Friday.

"Look, I don't like tweeting. I have other things I could be doing. But I get very dishonest media, very dishonest press. And it's my only way that I can counteract," said the Republican president-elect.

A New York businessman and former reality TV star, Trump often used Twitter during the campaign to communicate his views, including his sometimes scathing opinions of rivals. Since winning the November election he has delivered a steady stream of tweets - often focused on countering critics.

He has had a contentious relationship with some prominent U.S. news organization that he refers to derisively as the "mainstream media," banning some news outlets during the presidential campaign and publicly criticizing individual reporters.

Trump's team had discussed moving news conferences out of the small West Wing briefing room to the Old Executive Office Building, which is part of the White House complex, incoming White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus said Sunday on ABC.

"The press went crazy, so I said, 'Let's not move it.' But some people in the press will not be able to get in," Trump told Fox in the interview broadcast on Wednesday.

"We have so many people that want to go in so we'll have to just have to pick the people to go into the room - I'm sure other people will be thrilled about that," he said. "But we offered a much larger room because we need a much larger room and we offered to do that, but they went crazy."

"And they'll be begging for a much larger room very soon, you watch."

Brilliant. It's about time a Republican recognizes that there is no way they will ever win over the biased, corrupt, DNC affiliated news networks. Wikileaks proved how in-the-tank the mainstream media is for the Democratic party, confirming what many of us have known for years. Trump is going to cut them off and speak directly to the American people, who can decide for themselves.

    This is great.

I see this as a wise move.

Its basically giving the FNN & Co. children a time out.

It doesn't mean they're banned for life.

It just means they need to go sit down, shut up, and get a better attitude.

Leftist media has gone way over the line.

From spreading rampant conspiracy theories, to attacking children, to obvious fake news about prostitutes and urine.

Leftists news has been acting despicably and they need to go cool off before being invited to the adults table.

And if they don't, then Trump should ban them because Leftism showed it had no qualms whatsoever in manipulating one election - who says they won't keep it up next time?

    Oh, absolutely.

I think that Trump should ban the press altogether, and just start a ministry of propaganda. After all, if one reports, accurately, the idiotic things he says and does one should not be allowed access to report, correct?

Why not just ban all news except Brietbart?

Good to see. It's nice seeing a president work hard to stay connected with the American people.

Precisely how is Trump speaking directly to the American people?

How is he not? Social media gives him a direct link to the American voting public, bypassing the media altogether.

That's fine when he is a reality TV star. He is now representing the United States of a America, so no just saying 'don't read them' is not good enough. He no longer just represents himself.

Look on the bright side, you'll have a thread per Trump tweet to post here.

    Be optimistic my friend.

example: Trump said "QUOTE: "When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best. They're not sending you. They're not sending you. They're sending people that have lots of problems, and they're bringing those problems with us. They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists. And some, I assume, are good people."

What is reported "QUOTE: "When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best. They're not sending you. They're not sending you. They're sending people that have lots of problems, and they're bringing those problems with us. They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists.

... and bypassing its political filter. Can you even begin to imagine how different this would have been with Hillary? ... Softball questions, scripted, secretive, bland, hedging everything, and the deliberate avoidance of straight and regular communication with the American people.

It would be a completely different story if Hillary were President. The media would be doing everything they can to influence public opinion in favor of Clinton, whereas with Trump (or any Republican), they will be doing everything they can to influence public opinion in opposition to Trump.

Why do we need a reporter when we can read his tweets for ourselves? And when have they reported accurately? Can you say 'FAKE NEWS'? The MSM is an arm of the DNC.

How? By suppressing a free press because they dare to criticize him? Let's not forget that one of the first acts of the National Socialist Party in Nazi Germany in 1933 was to control and inhibit a free press.

    That is awesome.

Why? I don't know. An objective viewpoint rather than self promoting propaganda from a narcissistic serial liar?

Free press? More like biased and corrupt. Wikileaks proved that.

Your predictable Nazi comparison is one of the worst I've seen. Trump isn't proposing any laws to "control and inhibit a free press", he's simply refusing to play their game by not participating.

No one is being suppressed and there are no Nazis on the horizon. The press remains free.

He and his staff have proposed selectively denying elements of the press access to his press conferences because of his paranoid belief that the press is against him. What an absolute fool. By any definition Trump is proposing selective censorship of a free press.

So said quite a few Germans in 1933. Of course my analogy of Trump's behavior to the Nazi regime is just that, an analogy. But any suggestion about selectively muzzling a constitutionally guaranteed free press should be deeply disturbing.
