To the Democratic brothers and sisters of the country,

The >>>MOD EDIT Flamebait Removed<<< are now in power. And I don't toss around the R word lightly. The far-right, shady underbelly that boiled while President Obama was in office came to a head, and like a boil, or a cyst, it popped, and the plasma leaking down Americas face now is infectious, toxic, and spiraling in a downward direction. The People on Nov 8th, 2016 did not vote, emotions and nerves voted, smoke and mirrors voted, the distortions and spins of the Trump Campaign spun.

But to get to the heart of the matter, we are in the biggest crisis since not even Hoover, but Reagan. And Trump is no Reagan, more like a Nixon without political experience. Hillary Clinton was a okay pick, but the wrong pick. It is becoming more and more clear that Bernie Sanders would have had a fighting chance to fending off the conservative onslaught at the end of last year. The country is not hungry for fascism, contrary to what the political map last year would account to. Nor is it hungry for socialism. As you've seen from the passionate rallies to save Obamacare, that has benefitted many, America's hunger lies in progressivism, not Bill Clinton or Obama-esk liberalism. Debbie W. Schulz, as well meaning as she was, should not be allowed to speak on behalf of the DNC. There is a good chance, had it been Sanders, America would not have witnessed a election that can only be compared to 9/11.

Trump struck a nerve, but Sanders struck a nerve as well. A nerve that got voters out like Obama did in 2008 in the primaries. Keith Ellison needs to be the new face of the DNC, the Republicans will find a way to attack him for his religious preferences (because any other religion than Christianity is taboo), however in an ever-changing America where whites are becoming the minority, a growing Hispanic and Asian presence, having someone who is of a different religion, and color, that stands up for progressive principles so deeply wanted in this country, will benefit the DNC greatly gong into 2018 and ultimately, 2020. We were too cocky in 2016, this catastrophe is the end result. The days of Nancy Pelosi and Debbie W. Schulz are over.

In conclusion, it is progressivism that will move the Democratic Party, and ultimately America, forward. The New Deal version of the Democratic Party is dead, lets not beat on this dead horse.

Well. Both progressive Left and Trump's south or both border wall is enough to bring this life to standard unless again for Americanism back to top again. White is back to top.

Oh hell no, a conservative SCOTUS is the last thing we need as a country. But then again, it might be just enough to make people realize the mistake of allowing the far-right to be in control.

Nothing will be happening on Friday as far as I'm concerned, we'll just have to start apologizing for Retard Donald Trump now. As I opened the letter with, the retards are now in power.

How is this the biggest crisis since Reagan? Trump's twitter rants are not a crisis and he is saving jobs. Hillary Clinton was not a ok pick if she was a wrong pick. You contradict yourself there. You did get some things right. Bernie Sanders was much better and Democrats were too cocky and this is not the first election that Democrats thought they had it in the bag and lost by a land slide. I don't think a good strategy is to go for the Hispanic or Asian vote. You should want every body's vote. You still don't get it. Everyone including white American's matter when it comes to the election and Democrats can't just focus on Hispanics and hope they win. Hispanics do play a big role in the election because so many of them vote and we have a lot of them in America but you can't put all of your eggs in one basket.

You Democrats lost because Hillary wanted to follow most of Obama's policies which many Americans didn't want. Obama failed to contain ISIS when he had a chance. As a matter of fact he had many chances and did nothing. He wanted to flood America with Muslim refugees which you couldn't vet. He allowed over a million illegals to come in in less than the last two years. Did nothing to keep jobs here. Refused to fix our education system because it would effect the teachers union. Health care was going out of sight. Part time jobs were taking over and pay not keeping up. Trump is a chance. But going in the same direction was no longer an option.

"Progressivism" is a cowardly word trying to hide from "liberalism." "Progressive" means anything and nothing.

Although I don't agree with much that you wrote, I do agree that Keith Ellison needs to be the new face of the DNC. I'm really rooting for that.

Liberal Progressives are the fringe leftists who have hijacked the Democratic Party. According to Gallup in their 2010 poll, Liberals made up 20% of the population and another found that Progressives made up 26% of that number. So, they are a 5.2% fringe, but they are nasty, vile, violent pukes who are intolerant of viewpoints they don't share. In 2011, when Gabrielle Giffords voted against Nancy Pelosi for minority leader, it was a Progressive website that dog whistled the hit that almost killed her. Loughner was a Progressive before they shaved his head to make him look like the lunatic he is and they are. Despite being fringe players, progressives permeate Hollyweird, the media and our schools. They are worse than a virus.

I'm with you there. Keith "X" Ellison, who followed Louis Farrakhan for years and has advocated for blacks to have their own country within the US? He would be a perfect representation of the current Democratic party, in my opinion.

I have highlighted, bolded, unlined, and colored red the biggest problem with your post. You just called everyone that voted for Trump a retard! If the left and you apparently continue to name call and degrade people the Democrat party will continue to lose. No one likes to be called names....especially if they are not that. Make sound logical arguments and if you are losing do not resort to name calling.

Hillary was horrible as a candidate. She had almost as much baggage as Trump and you have the DNC to blame. Instead of the people of the Democrat party railing against the DNC though, they are railing against a person that is now President and there is nothing that can be done about it. If the amount of energy that is being spent on protesting a pointless cause was to be directed on correcting the internal failings of the DNC you would be utilizing the energy better.

Typical Liberal, champion of the poor, ignored, mistreated and challenged! Sorry Balto but you may be part of the problem and clearly not what the worlds needs more of!

You Sir are clearly challenged in your own shallow hypocritical life!

I disagree. Progressivism is the correct term, liberal, in it's classic terms, describes libertarians. Progressivism means trying to use the power of government to force what you think is right.

How are you supposed to move anything forward when you start off by calling people retards? As long as both sides keep up with the name calling and rhetoric the only direction we'll be moving is backwards.

From the perspective of someone who ostensibly is attempting to be viewed as a spokesperson for the left, the OP sure seems to be an intolerant mess.

I would coach against using derogatory name calling, but hey what the heck. Go for it. Continue to show that spunk. That spark of indignant soul crushing tyranny that folks in your party so often recognize as group think. The rest of us will enjoy the show.

    Carry on.

My word. where to start? Seriously.

So, I accurately describe Trump to a T, and users seem to give idiotic replies with photos an memes that look bad on their part. Sorry, but memes of crying babies is just pathetic. Same with the claim of meltdowns, I absolutely love how the right is so tolerant, ha. Trump isn't saving jobs, Obama can be thanked for Ford and GM and FCA, and all the other companies coming here. That claim that Trump is saving jobs already is dead on arrival. Look, the way I wrote the OP is the way I would write it in a paper or magazine as a contributor. I pride myself in being politically incorrect, even if it means using inflammatory terms to describe certain individuals at the core. If I were on live TV, I wouldn't have any reservation using that word on air. You all are missing the message here, instead you're getting hung up on certain terms. Get your panties out of a wad.

The future of the Democratic Party is in people like Bernie Sanders, its not in Nancy Pelosi.

So, I wasn't addressing average Americans.

I was addressing Trump, Pence,, and his merry men of clueless CEO's. If the Democrats ran anyone else, even Warren, Republicans would be gasping for a single breath , a single attack line. And using Pocahontas, as Warren has come to be known from Trump, would backfire.

    - - - Updated - - -

Yes I did, with one of the highest GPA's in my class. That's not bragging, that's just fact.

Just like calling Trump out for who he is. It would be PC to call him President.

Well, why don't you let him get inaugurated first, and then critique him. Were you criticizing Obama before his inauguration? Oh, that's right, he didn't do anything for the middle class before he was sworn in, or after...

Critique and apologize, and repeat. Trump has already shown us his true colors, what really at this point is to be expected?

Any job creation isn't going to be on behalf of Trump, the real job creators will be the businessmen and women in this country, the entrepreneurs. Every corporation could invest in America, but none of the credit goes to Trump.
