It shouldn't be a surprise that Rand Paul voted in favor of this bill as he's an unapologetic supporter of free markets. The reason why healthcare costs in America are so high is not because of free markets, but because of a lack of them. The failure of this bill to pass is just one example of how government interference tends to drive up costs.
