Some views about why folks in government should be attending today's inauguration ceremony, expressed on the January 19th edition of a couple of different shows.

First, two views voiced on Outnumbered.

    By Howard Kurtz:
    By Julie Roginsky
Then a view expressed on Tucker Carlson.

    By Charles Krauthammer
Now these congressional representatives certainly have the right to sit out the inauguration if they wish to do so, but don't you think such actions only serve to undercut what should be a celebration of the strength and resiliency of our Republic?

These Dem congressmen/women who are boycotting are pathetic ...

They are only succeeding at throwing poop on themselves and screaming "Look at me!"

I agree with the conclusion Silly American makes in the OP it is inclusive and shows concern for our country and its traditions. I disagree with you conclusion because, in effect you are doing the same thing you accuse the "pathetic dems" of doing; and continuing to divide this country.

Today is putting the crown on a intellectually absent fool, and we can officially start apologizing for both him and our nationality now.

    That's what today really is.

Expressing anger. I'd say the same of Repubs if they did it.

    Nice joke.
Obama looks like a patriot compared to Trump.

He sure is a Patriot. He's arming Syria Al Qaeda "rebels" and commuting the sentence of a traitor on his last days in office.

What Obama understood was the importance of globalism, a concept that seems too abstract for Trump's mind. A accomplishment in itself is having a highly liberal SCOTUS.

Obama understands that he loves arming terrorists and that you support it. So you guys have something in common, you dislike the troops.

Nice assumption, but it won't fly. If I hated the troops, I'd be saying why don't we send our own, just to kill our own, like Bush did.

Hey, I never thought Hillary was going to win in a landslide. I knew it would be close.

At least I'm not gullible and blind enough to see the shame Trump has brought to America.

It is one thing to not want to go, but to pronounce one is boycotting is little more than petty theatrics.

Who is we? I certainly will never apologize to anyone or country for being an American, EVER, I'm damn proud to be an American, even When Obama was (was, nice ring to it) president.

I wasn't originally for Hillary, I do believe with the momentum Bernie had, Trump would have had more of a fight.

    We The People.

Dignity and honor were sacrificed for political vendetta.

His ideas aren't that far-fetched actually, much more realistic than Mexico paying for a wall.
