Trump has been president for a full day now, and I think we are going to be ok.

Well-------------------Trump has been president for a full day now, and it really looks like we are going to be ok. All the horrendous things that the left said would happen hasnt. Trump hasnt signed an order cancelling Social Security or Medicare. He hasnt launched a war with Russia, China, or anyone else. I guess all the dire warnings and threats the left was spreading was just fake news and lies.

Cool, so he was only going to be President for 1 day and not for 4 years? That's a (*)(*)(*)(*)ing relief!

Yup! In a self-governing republic with established democratic processes, there is no honorable role for “resistance.” What are they “resisting,” especially before the new administration even takes office? They only "believe" in elections when it gives them access to power.

Rather than take on the honorable and difficult task of the opposition party and rebuild themselves for future success, like the GOP did, the Left has decided that they’re victims of oppression. That’s an insult to those who have had to fight true oppression and who had self-governance stripped from their hands.

It’s not so much that they think Trump is a Nazi, as that they want to think of themselves as the bold resistance. The absence of actual brownshirts — well, except for the ones from the Left who were smashing windows, and Trump supporters, in DC last night — only makes it easier and more appealing to strike that pose.

    https://pjmedia.com/instapundit/255134/

The “resistance” are the fascists. They don’t like the outcome of the election, and now they want to seize power by force and intimidation. Everyone who contributes to this hysteria and uses the hyperbolic language of revolution is adding to the environment in which these groups take action.

The American people spoke in this election, in the presidential race, at every level of governance, and they rejected Democrats and the Left. It happens; Republicans had the same experience in 2006 and 2008, and spent their time fitfully repositioning themselves to appeal to voters, at least in relation to Democrats. You’re not a “resistance,” you’re an opposition, and your arrogance and self-regard are at least part of the reason your side lost in November. Grow up, get real, and perhaps rethink the decisions to cling to the calcified leadership that led you into your political dead end.

Deplorable Trump is looking at what to destroy first. Probably the ACA. Because healthcare isn't a human right in his eyes.

I thought you guys were done being politically correct. Guess I was wrong.

The Republicans lost seats in both houses of Congress AND Trump had almost 3,000,000 fewer votes than Clinton.

So what exactly did the American people say when they "spoke?" Are not these protestors American too? Why should Trump's election give voice to some but not others?

Only because Hillary ran up the score in CA. Apparently she was too dumb to know that we don't elect by popular vote, we elect by State Electors, and Trump took 50% more states that the Hapless Drunken Hillary, who apparently, despite being involved in 7 presidential elections, didn't know how the system worked.

But the big problem was the US Senate. Democrats had only 10 seats to defend, while the Republicans had 24 to defend, six years after the 2010 Tea Party wave. As the Republicans took the WH and held the Senate, now Trump and the Republicans will shape the federal courts. And believe me, the poor federal courts are bady overworked. We need to add A LOT more judges!

There are 114 pending vacancies in the federal courts, 12 percent of the entire federal judiciary and the largest percentage of judicial seats vacant for an incoming president since Bill Clinton was inaugurated, and of course Hapless Democrats were sure they would hold the WH and the Senate when these vacancies were filled... OOPS!

14 MORE sitting judges have announced their plans to take senior status or retire in the coming months, creating an additional 14 vacancies. We can also expect many more vacancies in the next four years.

Trump and the GOP will replace the late justice Antonin Scalia, and Trump’s appointments to lower courts — and the U.S. Courts of Appeals in particular — are also be very important.

The U.S. Circuit Courts of Appeal will have 19 vacancies in February. Trump’s nominations will alter the ideological balance on some courts and expand Republican-appointed majorities or bolster Republican-appointed minorities on others.

First Circuit: No vacancies. Currently four Democrat nominees and two Republican nominees.

Second Circuit: Two vacancies. Currently there are seven Democratic nominees and four Republican nominees. With two vacancies filled by Trump, the 2nd Circuit will be close to balanced.

Third Circuit: Three vacancies. Currently there are seven Democrat nominees and four Republican nominees, after Trump's first wave of appointments the 3rd Circuit will have an equal number of Democratic and Republican nominees.

Fourth Circuit: No vacancies. There are 10 Democratic nominees and five Republican nominees.

Fifth Circuit: Three vacancies. Currently there are five Democratic nominees and nine Republican nominees.

Sixth Circuit: Two vacancies. Currently there are six Democrat nominees and eight Republican nominees.

Seventh Circuit: Two vacancies. Currently there are three Democrat nominees and six Republican nominees.

Eighth Circuit: Two vacancies. Currently there is only one Democratic nominee and eight Republican nominees.

Ninth Circus: Four vacancies. Currently there are 18 Democrat nominees and seven Republican nominees.

Tenth Circuit: No vacancies. Seven Democrat nominees and five Republican nominees.

Eleventh Circuit: One vacancy. Currently there are eight Democratic nominees and three Republican nominees.

Federal Circuit: No vacancies. Currently there are eight Democratic nominees and four Republican nominees.

D.C. Circuit: No vacancies. Currently there are seven Democratic nominees and four Republican nominees.

With the tremendous backlogs in the Courts and all the lawless scum rioting, burning, looting and destroying property, clearly Congress has to expand the size of the federal judiciary. Harry Reid’s decision to invoke the nuclear option to facilitate nominations will certainly come in handy!

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...pe-the-federal-courts/?utm_term=.5260f3cf70bf

They Constitutionally elected Trump and retained GOP control of both Houses.
I don't know their citizenship status.
We all have the right to speak and protest, we DON'T have the right to burn other peoples property, steal their stuff and break their windows. Seriously, this is the first you have heard of this distinction?

    Sad!

If health care is a right, why did Obama force millions to purchase health care?

Also, why are the 29 million not insured ignored by Democrats?

So California isn't a state in the USA? It's people aren't citizens?

While Hillary did make some mistakes, her failure to win came mostly out of a "perfect storm" of events unheard of in US history: Russian attempts to influence the election, the rise of a cult of personality, and direct involvement by the Director of the FBI to influence the election.

Are you that clueless? Those vacancies are because the GOP actively blocked them from even being voted on.

Again, because the Senate Republicans refused to do their job. Something else that will be remembered at some point, trust me.

Note that there is no place in the Constitution that says the government must provide health care.

If as Democrats love to say, Health Care is a right, why are up to 29 million Americans facing heavy punishment by the Government in the form of fines and who knows for sure, some jail time?

In jail they will get that right. Free medical care. When the government allows it.

I really don't mind that the Democrats blame the Russians.

Keep that up and they can't win more elections.

The sure believe Putin had much more power than did Obama. Obama claims he was aware of it in 2015 yet he allowed it.

According to the left, he's deciding which group to round up first (gays, women, Hispanics, blacks, illegals, gypsies, losers, freaks, etc.).

I'd have a whole lot more sympathy for the left's outrage at Trump's behavior with women if they showed even a little annoyance at Bill Clinton's sexual predator antics. If I remember, most of what we heard was the sound of silence.

Guess he should have learned from Bill. But unfortunately, Trumpkins took it to a whole new level. What would happen if just one of those women he groped came forward and filed charges? Oh my. What would happen to Trumpkins then?

For weeks he battled the CIA. He refused to believe them when the CIA said the Russians interfered in our elections. He compared the intelligence community to Nazi Germany, and accused the CIA director of personally leaking something disturbing to him to the press. During his first full day as President, Trump visited CIA headquarters in Langley and got all lovey/dovey with the CIA people, telling them how great they are and how much he will need them as President.

I am concerned about his "America first" slogan he mentioned in his inaugural address. It's probably just rhetoric, but, if he really means it, we could be in trouble. We must view our allies and trading partners as equals, not placing "America first" in negotiations. Any deals must be beneficial to both sides or there won't be any deals, and trading wars caused by protectionist tariffs are unthinkable.

No man is an island. That is also true of nations. The U.S. belongs to a community of nations. The day we forget that and place ourselves first in all things, is the day we begin a rapid descent down a slippery slope and end up like Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan.

Today we have hundreds of thousands of protesters around the world, a half million in Washington alone, clogging up the streets and delaying a parade.

Counting the 67 Democratic members of Congress who were a no-show, Inauguration Day was a black mark on America. We are in for a rough ride with the Trump Presidency. Trump is an angry man elected by angry Americans. To those who voted for Trump, always be careful what you wish for. I am beginning to wonder if some Trump voters are today regretting their decision. Trump appears to be a divisive President. Can millions of protesters around the world be wrong? In modern history this has never happened before.

Maybe the Constitution needs to be updated, hmm?

    Sounds like a sound idea.
