Considering the Nationwide (worldwide) gathering of millions of peoples to protest what has happened to the left....are we witnessing the beginning of the new Tea Party?
I could see the entry requirement now, "Have you ever crapped on a cop car, burned a U.S. flag, or looted a convenience store for all the Charmin you could carry? You have? Then you are in brother!
I suggest you begin to take this seriously and perhaps seriously consider the man you helped put in the white House. ~OR~ You could always ignore the whole thing and jerk off to Melania pics.
These are nothing more than delusional adult-children for the most part, who have been living in an Obamanite "socialism-lite" fairyland for the past eight years. They may wake up and realize that Trump's presidency has the ability to produce the greatest opportunities that they will ever see in their lives (much as Ronald Reagan's presidency did for us Boomers), or, they may choose to go on wasting their vapid, purposeless lives being pissed-off and frustrated about things that never were of any great or lasting importance in the first place. The choice is theirs. I have recently fully retired. I don't really give a (*)(*)(*)(*) about adult-children who do little but paw around on their 'smart'-phones all day and amuse each other with wastes of time like Facebook. The smart ones among them will seize new opportunities and advance themselves into positions of comfort and financial security -- just like a lot of us Boomers did! But, if they'd rather schlep around acting like "aggrieved" morons, and living on subsistence welfare from the government, that's just fine with me. As my dear old dead Daddy used to tell me, "It's crowded down at the bottom, but there's plenty of room at the top -- if you're good enough to get there!" But I like a saying my Mom used often even better -- "Always do the best you can, my darling... it won't be TOO good...." Rhetorical question: What do parasites suck on after they've already sucked the blood out of everything else they attach themselves to...? Each other?!
Take what seriously? Why didn't they just vote ? Why did they screw Bernie? If I were them I would clear out of Chicago before it gets dark.
I can see a movement like this for the left. In contrast to the right wing tea party, most would be under 60 and have a mouth full of teeth.
What is there to take seriously? The Left is currently having the world's largest temper tantrum because the Dem Party did not continue having control of the Executive Branch. They will do everything they can to sabotage the Trump years. Understood. If Trump and his administrative wonks do not also know that then they are not paying attention. So other than watch and laugh at the Left, there really is nothing to do.
What would be their root cause? Now one thing about the tea party was that it was open to everyone regardless of party. Would the same apply to this new group?
Interestingly, I heard the same thing on Bill Maher's show last night. He thinks the opposition needs to organize a political movement modeled on the Tea Party. Unfortunately for the left, these protests are not it. The Tea Party didn't have speakers talking about blowing up the White House. Nor did they have hundreds of people arrested for violence at their gatherings. Sorry, but you can't wear black, throw rocks and smash windows like a modern day Kristalnacht, and then claim you are opposing fascism. You guys are the fascists.
The original Tra Party was a leftist activity so I woukd not be surprised if the Leftusts have themselves a Tea Party.

Once corporate Democrats are finally purged from the party, the left will finally have a voice. America needs an opposition party which it hasn't had since the 70s.
I don't understand the question. What would it be for the left to have it's own Tea Party equivalent? There are already loads of liberal groups who protest government. What more would it take?
