I might have empathized with the Indian protesters had they raised this issue in the past before pipelines crossed their "land", but they're likely just being paid by the left to protest. Similarly, I would have probably criticized this move from Trump since he didn't go through congress, but the precedent was set by Obama.

Oil goes into pipeline > oil gets refined into gasoline > gasoline goes into automobile and makes the engine run.
