Direct Action Alliance and Portlands Resistance said that if Marshman wasnt fired, theyd shut the city down. These petty Marxists and anarachists apparently attempted to carry out their threat last night, blocking a number of intersections in the city and bringing traffic to a halt. It didnt go very well for at least one group of radicals, as a unit of non-nonsense riot police rushed in from behind a city bus, knocked the protestors to the ground, and arrested six of them in front of a crowd of cheering citizens. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Is this due to the "Trump Effect"? It certainly seems to be a change from the normal "give them room to riot" response. I'm super happy about it. How does this look to y'all?

This is how the mentally ill protesters on the left need to be dealt with. If they can hold up normal people from going to/from work by shutting down streets, the police (funded by and there to serve the normal people with jobs) can hold them up from their next mental disorder meltdown by holding them in jail for a few days.
Now that is how you do it. I like the elderly lady giving the cops the two thumbs up. She had probably been trying to get on a bus. The absurd tactic of holding up traffic that has resulted in emergency medical vehicles being unable to get people in urgent need of medical attention to a doctor has to be dealt with as Portland dealt with those pieces of garbage. Watching the clip at full screen size shows at least one of the cops to be a female. Outstanding! We aren't even a week in, and everything is turning around already. The liberals are in for one dose of reality after another after another.
When the left doesn't get their way they go scorched earth with the misery-for-all mentality and they don't care if they bestow misery on people who agree with their cause. These are the same people who went ballistic with accusations of racism if one dared disagreed with Obama. And who can forget the Occupy dolts?

Want to protest? Do it right. You don't get to break things, or block roads. When they do, they aren't "protestors", they're anarchists and terrorists, and this is how they should be treated. While it's nice to see the police taking care of business I'm really looking forward to private citizens getting fed up and starting to hand out beatdowns to these leftist cockroaches. Not that I endorse what these protesters are doing, I do not. I feel that if you believe strongly enough in your cause to do violence or risk causing injury, you should be willing to pay the price for your protesting. But I have a question for you. If they were just peacefully protesting on the side of a road, not blocking traffic or such, would any of those people driving by care? They are trying to get their message out to where the largest amount of people can hear it. And they are trying to reach more people than in just that one area they live in or drive to. In all likelihood, probably not too many. But, I believe that they feel like they have to do something. And sorry, citizens don't get to beat them up or run them over just because they are inconveniencing you. You have to wait until they point the weapon or raise the fist. Otherwise, YOU are committing the crime and thus should go to jail. And calling the police is drawing attention, media and otherwise, to their cause. It's kinda what the want. I hear you saying that you don't condone their actions, yet I noticed you also do not condemn their actions. As a matter of fact, you try to justify their behavior by implying that the ends justifies the means. It doesn't. If you get out there on the sidewalk (or wherever the city has given permission to protest) and no one pays you any mind, that doesn't mean you get to get out in the street to make people react to you. Grow up.
