This is very interesting. I love it when artifacts are discovered that agree with scripture. http://ilovebeingchristian.com/scientific-proof-god-did-the-miracle-of-parting-the-red-sea-must-see/
There are no chariot wheels or horse bones at the bottom of the Red Sea. No "Christian" would promote such blatant lies.
Christians believe the Old Testament. Jesus quoted from it often. Moses and Elijah appeared with Jesus when he was transfigured.
Occam's Razor: Is it more likely that out of the thousands of ships that have wrecked in the Red Sea in the past couple thousand years one was carrying bronze wheels Or that the story of Exodus is true without any corroborating evidence from any historical document as the time?
bless your heart it's a fairy story, Dear. people might think you're soft in the head if you talk as though it's real. - - - Updated - - - bless your heart it's a fairy story, Dear. people might think you're soft in the head if you talk as though it's real.
One....chariots sink in mud and horses /people do as well. Two....it would take millions of people about a week to cross the distance even on dry land. Three...there would be far more evidence or none when the waters came crashing back. Four....Parting a sea to make a road is simply impossible. Five...it was the Reed Sea, not the Red one. Finally...IT'S A FREAKIN' STORY.
SCUBA divers don't dive to 700 feet depth. Its simply a lie.. and they think if the call themselves "Christians" the lie doesn't matter.
They do not agree with scripture. I recently read an article about efforts to find and retrieved artifacts from the bottom of the detroit river. They found guns cars pieces of buildings and endless other objects. Finding something under water is normal ANYWHERE that humans have lived near water which is everywhere near water. This is not even remotely evidence supporting a miraculous biblical tale. - - - Updated - - - They still laugh at Noah and the crucifixion of Jesus. Both are myth with zero supporting evidence
5 years ago the Red Sea got 25 feet wider toward the south end before you get to the Bab al Mandab. .. so its still "parting". The Read Sea varies in depth from 700 feet to 2200 feet so the Israelites would have needed climbing gear to cross on the dry bottom.
Your God is an imaginary creation of ancient humans adapted from earlier versions and recreated as politics required to control others. It has no evidence for it beyond old books completely edited and changed in documented history. Your God has been completely debunked by scientific examination and discovery to the point that those not captured by dogmatic hypnosis dismiss it as fantasy. Your God exists only in the minds of mental children and has absolutely nothing to do with the Universe or cosmology regardless of how you try to twist text to fit into reality. How can anything do anything impossible? And "Miracles" is nothing but an excuse proclaiming "I haven't got a clue."
Do you not see the serious breakdown in logic when you say that statement then try and turn around and post evidence in support of the Bible? You get to either use goddidit magic or empirical evidence. You can't try and use both.
Could empirical evidence prove the Bible false? If your answer to that question is "no", then that is the reason why you can't use empirical evidence. The scientific method doesn't work when you assume your conclusion. Either the evidence is Supreme or you biases are and if your biases are, then you aren't using science and anyone who does use science should rightly ignore anything you have to say.
Biases are everywhere. Man's limited intelligence doesn't prove God doesn't exist. Einstein and I agree on that. He was a pretty smart scientist.
Smart enough to reject the idea of a Christian personal god who interacts with the universe, definitely. You can't claim to use empirical evidence to prove the Bible but then reject evidence which contradicts the Bible.
Smart enough to believe an intelligent spirit runs the universe. On that point, you and Einstein part ways. Einstein and I agree. Great minds think alike.
Einstein's concept of a god is nothing like yours. He did not believe in an interventionist god that "runs the universe". At best he was a deist. Too bad his religious beliefs didn't have any evidence to back them up and thus can be rejected out of hand.
