    I agree. Without a doubt...the Russian National Anthem is the most stirring.

    Although...I like the jazzier version featuring pole vaulter, Yelena Isinbaeva.

    I like Scotland's the best, and La Marseillaise second, because of seeing that Bogart movie as a kid and it has always stayed with me. The Russian composers are some of the best, but their national anthem isn't bad but not among the best. Compositions like The Great Gate at Kiev and others are actually better re Russian compositions.

    I agree. The tune makes my soul sing....and it's uplifting. Haven't heard another Anthem that accomplishes that.

    Has a decent sound when played by a military band.

    Singing the anthem ought to be outlawed...preferably making it a capital offence.

    There is nothing about the stylized singing of the anthem before most athletic events that does America, or inspirational music, any honor.

    Depends on the singer. I was at the Patriots/Bills game in 2011. I'll never forget how awesome Martina McBride was.
