And people wonder why Trump comes down hard on the press. Sometimes I think these big mouth media outlets publish hateful stories just to sell more papers and get more clicks.

After publishing a story like this would anyone question Trump if he completely shuts out the NY Times?

Obviously, they're planning on invoking the 25th amendment; a rule which states that if the President is incapable of performing his duties, it can be replaced.

    It isn't going to work.

Having an idiot like Trump in charge of the government puts us in danger every day.

He is in way over his head, he has no idea how a president is supposed to comport himself, and his half-baked statements and impulsive actions have made him the laughing stock of the rest of the world.

As he continues to embarrass us, more and more Republicans will come to the conclusion that he's got to go.

The democrats are so short sighted it's hard to imagine 2018 mid terms will be kind. Democrats I'm sure haven't even considered that some, possibly many GOP establishment figures actually hope Trump will leave office. Mike Pence, or Paul Ryan in the oval office would spell dread for what's left of the DNC.

Everyone has their own idea of how a President is supposed to act. Had this argument nationally on November 7th; that argument lost.

No one is concerned slightly about how you feel.

Can you imagine the hysteria if in response Trump pointed to the money the NYT is losing and then discussing how long before it goes bankrupt and closes down?

The Democratic Party needs to immediately ramp up it attacks against white people, Christians and blue collar workers, while organizing nationwide BLM and Trump protest riots, looting and arson - incessantly screaming American and all white people and all Christians are racists! That worked so well for them the last election they need to do far more of it.

Embarrass? The media writes stories like this and goes on and on with fake news stories to make him look as bad as possible and then you say we're embarrassed? If anything, we should be embarrassed about our media.

Yes, we do laugh at Trump. But not half as hard as we laugh at your SJWs.

Yes, and you should too if you value freedom of the press and the 1st amendment. No, if you are a feckless trump apologist.

President snowflake should put on his big boy pants and realize there are quite a few people who absolutely despise him. He should focus on doing his job and shut out the noise like all presidents before him have. If he takes active steps to silence the media, they will on dig deeper and push harder.

The thin skinned baby in chief needs to try and be a man and understand that criticism is part of the job.

Imagine the howls of the petulant children on the right if Obama had shut out fox news because they were critical of him.

That won't be necessary. This situation can't be good for Trump. He's so desperate to be loved and he has made a bloody mess of his presidency so far.

    Your opinion.

So far, everything he has done is popular.

Shutting out the Times has nothing to do with freedom of the press and the 1st Amendment because they can still continue on printing their garbage. But why, after being hammered relentlessly by the Times, would Trump want to do anything at all for them? Would you?

Shut out the Times and make them print stories other media has already beaten them to. Make them irrelevant.

The Times stock went up 50% since November 2016. Selling hate is profitable and they need to keep it up if they want to keep stock prices high. Trump being president is the best thing to happen to the Times.

Irrelevant. I never said Trump was popular; I said the things he is doing IS popular. Sooner or later, when reality doesn't conform, you'll realize that you're in the minority.

Yellow Journalism is now mainstream. What is destructive is that they deny it and claim to be doing real journalism.

Wonder if regulations are keeping out a genuine Press? There has to be a demand for it.

Have you seen his latest tweet? He blames Fox News for his statements about terrorism in Sweden.

So? I only care about the things he has done; as he has promised to do.

His tiffs with the media is of no concern to me.

You are informed by the media. Without the media, you have no idea what's going on.

More than that, others are informed by the media, and that information is the basis for how Trump is going to be evaluated.

I just don't believe you can "not care" about the media.

That depends on what type of media you are referring to. I'll be fine without the traditional media; I have not paid much attention to them in quite some time. The only thing I need the traditional media for is the basic, raw facts about an issue, and they're even failing in this regard. Social media and the Alternative media has been much more efficient and timely with breaking stories and news events; so much so that traditional news outlets are losing money.

The media is becoming irrelevant. Some of the variables are out of their control; the variables they can manage, they're doing a poor job of it.
