A fact is a statement that is indisputably true. Truth is consistence with reality. There is no alternative to a fact, the best someone can mean by alternative facts (plural) is a different set of indisputably true statements. The problem with that is while there are many sets of statements that are consistent with reality, there is only one set that does not ignore any facts. The set that contains all facts. Choosing any alternative set of facts to facing all facts means ignoring something factual. It means choosing to disbelieve or ignore something that is indisputably true (consistent with reality). Belief that is firmly maintained despite being contradicted by reality is delusion. By definition. Stating your are operating on alternative facts is admission of being delusional.

A fact is indisputably true. If your interpretation is disputably not consistent with reality, your interpretation is not a fact.
It may be a fact you saw a red light. That you did does not mean what you were looking at was a red light. If your perception is different than others observing the event, I suggest employing a spectrometer to resolve that uncertainty.
If the light is moving toward me at great speed, it could be a lower frequency but is red in my frame of reference. Does that mean it is red or some frequency of EM below red? It depends on the frame of the observer. In this case there is no absolute truth. But it is a light. If I said it's a golf ball, that would be an "alternative fact". Some facts are clear cut.
