question about avatars

How do you add an avatar? I've tried the Edit Avatar feature several times with no success.

Is there a secret?

 

No secret. Whoever administers this server apparently can't fix a simple permissions issue or something. We can't use any custom avatar because the server software can't write to the requisite directory. Same thing if you try to attach an image to a post.

I don't know how they can fail this hard for this long. It's been an issue for weeks, months...

 

I still get an error message that says that the image cannot be replaced. It's been going on for more than six months.

 

Same problems for me.

 

Oh good. I'm glad it's not me. I've been trying to upload an avatar since I joined. Is anyone in control aware of this issue?

 

You should go into the technical issues thread (or whatever it's called). There's a feedback thread.

 

I don't think that area is really monitored by anyone. I posted a question there in early January and as of today, only three people have read it and nobody has replied.

 

Find one of the mods on the forum (they all post) and just private message them
