    http://www.theblaze.com/news/2016/1...al-carry-reciprocity-agreement-in-the-senate/

Peter Ambler, executive director of Americans for Responsible Solutions, a gun control super PAC, said his organization plans to fight national reciprocity “tooth and nail,” threatening a Democratic filibuster of the legislation in the Senate.

“It’s a race to the bottom,” he said. “It allows people that have permits from states with the weakest standards possible to carry [weapons] in the streets of any U.S. city.”

Connecticut Sen. Richard Blumenthal, a Democrat and ardent gun-control advocate, said he believes any version of a national reciprocity bill would be “dead on arrival” in the Senate, due to strong Democratic opposition.

    the bill is dangerous.

it allows people from states that have NO concealed-carry requirements, simply allowing any resident to walk around with a gun, no questions asked, to be allowed to carry concealed in all 50-states.

that's not CCW reciprocity, that's Idiocy Reciprocity.

its one thing to set some minimum standards for a CCW and then say all states must recognize other states CCW, but thats not even close to what they are doing.

Why are Democrats so in favor of states' rights for 2A infringements but so against them for gay marriage and abortion rights?

You do realize that the states that have constitutional carry, AKA permit less carry, still issue CCW licenses to allow their residents to carry in other states and those licenses require training.

    - - - Updated - - -

Perhaps. Which one is specifically mentioned in the Constitution?

Pick a state with constitutional carry. Go look at the CCH requirementts. Colorado recognizes Wyoming for reciprocity, but Wyoming residents have to have an actual CCH license to carry in Colorado.

unless there are minimum CCW requirements, I do not support mandating reciprocity.

violent criminals and the families that produce them, are major supporters of the Democrat party. That Party doesn't want to upset such a large bloc of votes.

Do you think a POS like Blumenthal is going to support reciprocal CCW even if there was the same training requirements that Ohio Has (pass a shooting test and 8 hours of classroom plus a clean background check?) that's a red herring argument . Scum bags like Blumenthal oppose anyone who isn't a Democrat Party big wig or cops carry concealed weapons.

those who engage in homosexual sodomy, gay marriage and abortion tend to be Democratic party voters. Those who carry firearms generally are not

except you are again-as usual-wrong on this issue. Pam Karlan-Stanford's top constitutional law professor and one of the best brief writers in the country was commissioned by the DNC and the NAACP about 14 years ago to launch a legal drive to get felons their voting rights back. At the William Howard Taft lecture at the University of Cincinnati in 2001 or 2, (which I attended, Pam and I knew each other well in college) Professor Karlan noted that her research found that the VAST MAJORITY OF FELONS vote DEMOCRAT when they can vote.

then Trump judges can crush state laws that refuse shall carry permits. Works for me. and maybe we can get a ruling that those politicians who deny shall carry are engaged in civil rights violations. Make them personally liable under "BIVENS

I'm a libertarian Ron, I couldn't care less if you have sex with men, women, martians, or consenting beasts of the field and there is no rational reason for any government to interfere with that activity. Same with carrying a weapon. and btw homosexual sex has caused more deaths in the USA than lawful gun carrying private citizens.
