Fox News is Trump biggest supporter. With some exceptions, Fox personalities like Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reilly, Karl Rove, Eric Bolling, Tucker Carlson, Stuart Varney, Jesse Watters, Leland Vittert, Jeanine Pirro, Laura Ingraham, Lisa Boothe, Lou Dobbs, and Neil Cavuto all unabashedly promote the Trump agenda.

They gloss over Trump's misstatements, provide only one side of the issue, and constantly interrupt liberal guests in mid-sentence just as they are about to score a major point. If you watch Fox and disagree with that assessment, you are only fooling yourself.

Networks like MSNBC, CNN, and CBS and liberal politicians and pundits don't like Fox, but no one is saying they practice fake news or Fox is dishonest. Come to think of it, no one in Trump's retinue is saying the news media is dishonest, practices fake news as matter of policy, or is the enemy of the people.

Only a paranoid President is saying those things.

I used to have CNN on my TV all the time if I wasn't watching a particular show but a person can take only so much Trump bashing. It gets repetitious after a few solid hours.

In a way that is my problem, too. I am a conservative. CNN, MSNBC, NBC, CBS are all to liberal for me. I can't stand to watch them. Fox is my primary news source, but I watch a 1/2 hour of the ABC national news each day. I'm kind of a news junkie. It shows, huh.

I abandoned most cable and network news shows a while back as I got tired of the endless repetition. I'd much rather read news from websites, both left and right; they usually dig into an issue much better than the TV personalities.

I would disagree with that statement. While the network leans to the right, they give the left plenty of opportunities to present their opinions via Juan Williams, Geraldo Rivera (he says he's a republican but he's not) Kirsten Powers and others.

I don't watch any TV news except for local news, so I'm not sure who all those people are. But the ones I know, aren't they talk show hosts and opinion commentators? They don't report the news. Whenever the right complains about the left wing bias of the MSM, you can always count on them crying "what about Fox?", as if one single network makes up for all the networks and print media who are without a doubt left wing biased. Oh, let me include the Washington Times which was conservative the last time I read it many years ago.

I am fully aware Fox has liberal commentators. In that way they can claim "fair and balanced" and the "no spin zone." I said, "with some exceptions." Those exceptions might also include Shepherd Smith, Chris Wallace, and Bret Baier, although the latter leans a bit right.

There are a number of conservative sources. I found this interesting.

Republicans trust Donald Trump. Everyone else trusts the media.

That is the finding of a Quinnipiac University poll which shows a dramatic split between Republicans and other Americans when it comes to matters of trust.

Quinnipiac's survey found that 52% of voters trust the media more than they trust Trump, while only 37% said they trusted Trump more. Among Democrats, 86% said they trusted the media more than the president.

But among Republican voters, the balance is flipped: 78% said they trusted Trump more than the media, while just 13% said they trusted the media more.

The poll suggests that Trump's aggressive efforts to discredit the media over the last two years have had a profound effect not just on his base, but on Republican voters at large.

I honestly don't understand why you whine about Trump. Before this election, I always thought Trump was just an arrogant PIA New Yorka. He captured the hearts and minds of mainstream America, sent the Skankipotimus back to irrelevance, She belongs in King Tut's Tomb, buried in her lies, and at this point, what does it matter? For this, I owe Trump my support. Being a Republican I've had enough of war crazy Pubs, McCain needs to be sent down to the minor leagues and ride buses to Washington. Rubio, I like but he isn't worthy, and he's a dreamer, eff him and that horse he rode in on. Romney is a JW who thought he could lead, seeing how he couldn't unseat the Muslim in Chief, he is summarily dismissed. Cruz was slightly more likable than Grandpa Munster, and limp Kasich is probably some BBC's cuck.

We're doing the best we can. Much better than having the caricature of George Steinbrenner, socialist Bernie, the Skankipotimus who wipes her server with a cloth, or Princess Fauxhantas.

Deal with it libs. The election is over. May a thousand camels die, 10 million illegals be deported, and sexual deviants sent back to their correct restrooms. Praise Allah!

NBC Apologizes For Editing George Zimmerman's 911 Call on - Gawker

    gawker.com/.../nbc-apologizes-for-editing-george-zimmermans-911-call-on-today-sh...

Apr 3, 2012 - NBC today apologized for an editing "error" in the dialogue in George Zimmerman's taped 911 call during a segment on the Today Show. The "error" referred to was a segment of Zimmerman's 911 call that made it seem as if he was voluntarily racial profiling Trayvon Martin.

I far prefer reading the news myself. Fox and ABC give me ideas for articles. Research and reading give me the meat of my articles.

Funny, I wrote an article about all that. Here is what I wrote:

The White House proudly trotted out the new Fox News poll that shows the voters trust Trump more than reporters. The final tally was 45% to 42% in favor of Trump. Interesting that it was that close.

This amounts to a self-fulfilling prophecy because 81% of Republican voters favored Trump in the poll. Independents who normally vote along conservative lines favored Trump 52% 26%. 79% of Democrats trusted reporters more than Trump.

Republicans who say they have trust in the media has plummeted to 14 percent from 32%. This is easily the lowest confidence among Republicans in 20 years.

So when Trump is preaching his "fake news" mantra to his adoring fans as he did in Melbourne, Florida, on Saturday, he essentially is preaching to the choir. They and others like them are the ones skewing the poll in Trump's favor.

Conclusion: to say Americans do not trust the news media is extremely misleading. As statistics show, Republicans don't trust the news media and for good reason.

For example, at that same rally in Melbourne, should Americans trust Trump when he said, "Look what's happening last night in Sweden," alluding to past terrorist attacks. The remark left Swedes scratching their heads, because no attack had occurred. The former Swedish Foreign Minister, Carl Bildt, later mocked Trump's comments in a tweet. "Sweden? Terror attack? What has he been smoking? Questions abound."

Should Americans trust Trump when he tweets, "The FAKE NEWS media (failing @nytimes, @NBCNews, @ABC, @CBS, @CNN) is not my enemy, it is the enemy of the American People!" SecDef James Mattis disagreed with Trump. Reince Priebus avoided answering questions from CBS's John Dickerson and Fox's Chris Wallace about the validity of Trump's comment. Instead, Priebus railed about news stories from unnamed sources, a Washington stable since the days of, well, Washington.

Mattis said that the term, "enemy of the people," is reserved for Hitler, Stalin, and ISIS. "The press, as far as I'm concerned, are a constituency that we deal with, and I don't have any issues with the press myself." In other words, Mattis was being kind.

It is with a certain amount of irony that Republicans trust Trump over reporters. It follows that 45% of Republicans think the media is the "enemy of the people." More and more Trump fans' loyalty to Trump surpasses loyalty to America. That is alarming.

    Fox defended Trump's being faulty,
and the other news sources and commentaries criticized Trump's fallacies.
I think fairness in broadcasting is still existing and as always the verdict comes from the hearing/watching public.

I don't "whine" about Trump. I provide accurate information on what he says and does. I don't understand your support for Trump. Let me provide two examples.

Trump's comments are often times outlandish and deserve scorn. That is the reason for his "fake news" campaign. He claims that whenever the press trots out some of his other worldly comments, that is fake news.

He embarrassed the Israeli P.M. by asking him in front of a national television audience to stop building settlements, a highly contentious issue suited for behind-the-scenes diplomacy.

He wasn't through embarrassing Netanyahu. He then declared that he was open to a one-state solution, an even more contentious issue. Again, this was done before a national television audience. On camera, Netanyahu straightened out the President.

Later, Trump's ambassador to the U.N. stated the U.S. strongly supported the two-state solution, reinstating the 25-year old position and in conflict with Trump's comments on national television.

Trump favors a 20% "border tax," which is a euphemism for a tariff, to pay for his tax lowering proposals. A tariff is essentially a regressive tax on American consumers.

Trump strongly encourages friendship with Russia. His SecDef considers Russia an existential enemy.

Trump thinks NATO is obsolete. As we speak, Pence is in Europe assuring our allies the U.S. is fully committed to NATO.

But then it gets confusing. Regarding NATO, the Guardian reports, "The signs have been mixed, and confusing, since Donald Trump won election last November. He initially signaled warmth towards Vladimir Putin and some scorn towards Nato. More recently he has appeared to backtrack on both fronts. But Pence lost them when he went further than US defence secretary James Mattis at Nato headquarters last week in rebuking Nato members such as Germany, France and Italy for failing to pay a fair share of its financial burden. Echoing Trump’s threat last year that he would not necessarily be bound by Nato’s article five, which commits every member to come to the aid of any that comes under attack, Pence reiterated the president’s warning that military help might depend on how much a country under attack had contributed to Nato."

All of this deserves some attention from the press. However, it is negative coverage, according to Trump. Thus it is "fake news" much the same as the leak was real but reporting the leak was "fake news." Yes, Trump actually said that in his press conference Thursday. That, too, deserved attention from the press.

    My second example.

The man guilty of the most fake and dishonest news is the President himself.

Trump's comments at his press conference on the 16th are the words of a paranoid schizophrenic with an obsessive narcissistic personality. He is the President of the United States; he had captured audience, a group of reporters in his house, and he made a big show of who was in charge. He constantly berated them and called them dishonest. This is not the performance of a well man.

I watched Sean Spicer's press conference today. He was calm and professional, a stark contrast with our President who ranted and raved throughout his press conference.

His answer to two reporters' questions tells the whole story. A man asked Trump something about Netanyahu's visit (the question was inaudible). First he derided the reporter. "He said he was gonna ask a very simple, easy question. And it's not, its not, not -- not a simple question, not a fair question. OK sit down, I understand the rest of your question." Then, true to his narcissistic persona, Trump first talked about himself then ranted. "So here's the story, folks. Number one, I am the least anti- Semitic person that you've ever seen in your entire life. Number two, racism, the least racist person. In fact, we did very well relative to other people running as a Republican -- quiet, quiet, quiet. See, he lied about -- he was gonna get up and ask a very straight, simple question, so you know, welcome to the world of the media. But let me just tell you something, that I hate the charge, I find it repulsive. I hate even the question because people that know me and you heard the prime minister, you heard Ben Netanyahu (ph) yesterday, did you hear him, Bibi? He said, I've known Donald Trump for a long time and then he said, forget it. So you should take that instead of having to get up and ask a very insulting question like that."

Have you ever watched The Caine Mutiny? Trump's rant reminded of the testimony of Captain Queeg.

A meek, nervous female reporter asked, "Well, when you say the inner cities, are you going -- are you going to include the CBC, Mr. President, in your conversations with your -- your urban agenda, your inner city agenda, as well as --"

    The following conversation ensued.

TRUMP: Am I going to include who?
QUESTION: Are you going to include the Congressional Black Caucus and the Congressional --
TRUMP: Well, I would. I tell you what, do you want to set up the meeting?
    QUESTION: -- Hispanic Caucus --
TRUMP: Do you want to set up the meeting?
    QUESTION: No -- no -- no. I'm not --
TRUMP: Are they friends of yours?
    QUESTION: I'm just a reporter.
TRUMP: Well, then(ph) set up the meeting.
QUESTION: I know some of them, but I'm sure they're watching right now.
TRUMP: Let's go set up a meeting. I would love to meet with the Black Caucus.

You know what is really disturbing? His adoring fans think Trump performed well, put reporters in their place, and was, at times, funny.

There was nothing funny about his performance.

He is not the people's President, far from it. He was outvoted by nearly three million Americans. He became President because 20% of Americans voted for him, 20%. He is hardly the people's choice. That accounts for all the anger, here and abroad. The U.K. parliament is debating withdrawing the queen's invitation to him. He is persona non grata in Germany. I could go on, but you get the point.

Yeah. You know, once you give up the idea that holding office in government is some kind of honorable pursuit that upstanding people tend to get into, the antics of politicians don't bother you so much. Some people really think he's in there to stick it to the ruling elite, hence my sarcastic remark.

    Dear Sandy Shanks DEAR :blowkiss:

Do you watch Fox News Channel? Really. Do you?

I watch CBS, Fox News and RT everyday.
    And I miss Al Jazeera.
And certainly Fox News has an anti Trump statement now and then more often
than CBS has a pro Trump story or statement.

So I ask, Do You Sandy Shanks watch Fox News?
Or similar to Communism :omfg:, you don't have to study it to know it is bad. So bad.
Because Sandy Shank's statement above is different from Moi's experience.
