"A piece of paper written by slave owners and slave rapists"

Thank you for giving an honest liberal view of the Constitution, the Founders, and the Country. I'm still being disagreed with on the forum when I say this is the liberal position. I can't believe it.

How were the men who founded whatever Hispanic country you come from? Were they slaveowners at some point? I'll bet they were.

But yes, we know that many liberals see the country, its founders, and its system of laws as evil and repressive. It's this premise that they use to try and "fundamentally transform" the country into one that better reflects their own ideal society.

That depends which ones we are looking at. Blacks and Hispanics are two of the most loyal liberal Democrat voting blocs in the country and their IQs are, on average, lower than whites. They also have less education.

Except the modern day liberal doesn't advocate for small Government. Quite the opposite. Far-left liberals want socialism, which is about as big of a system of Government as possible. They don't advocate for freedom, either. Certainly not the freedom to associate, the freedom to do business, the freedom to consume a 20 ounce soda, etc.

    University. You?

Evidently the Framers were much better educated than the usual liberal. Today's liberals are not classical liberals by any sense of the definition.

As a liberal, I find that flippant reduction of the greatest document known to man as an affront on the liberal ideas it represents.
Do you don't confuse its value with the worst aspects of those who wrote it?

As for believe- what's to believe? Most of what was in the constitution is sound governance, and most of what wasn't has been amended so that it is so.

Just because there are facts that you can reduce something to, doesn't mean its honest to reduce it to so.

You need to be able to discern the difference between classical liberalism and modern liberalism. Your link states "(those) holding classical liberal beliefs tend to vote Republican."

Education is not intelligence. There are morons subscribed to both sides of the aisle.

Ahhhhh...the continued words of the uneducated calling out the lack of education in others. Hypocrisy much?

Tip: If you wish to continue accusing others of having less intelligence than you, perhaps learning to create coherent, proper sentences would be a good starting point. The predictability of your posts where you try to claim the intellectual high ground is almost humorous.

Back on topic, anyone who believes in America and what it stands for are not stuck in the past. Rather, they believe the Constitution to be the fabric from which our nation was founded. That you see it as something else is of little matter.

Enjoy this map of modern day slavery.

Seems the vast majority are white majority countries that have eliminated slavery.

Africa, South America and SE asia/ME still own slaves. You can thank that "piece of paper" for it.

The "green" spots, you might notice, are majority white countries, with Brazil being the main exception.

Are you just referring to the IQs of white Northeastern and California liberals? What's the IQ of Hispanic Democrat voters and Intercity black Democrat voters compared to conservatives?

The American Constitution is the greatest government contract man has ever conceived. It's given us a relatively stable and prosperous republic for 225+ years.

If you can write a better framework for government, submit for review here and we'll critique it.

Thus kind of stuff is for children fir those Trumpeizdas if they are the ones with the one who like their hero have the mental development of a 12 year old boy and an emotional fitness of a middle school girl.

Adults do not create or swim in the or argue the OP "points" of threads that are " lbs are poopy heads"!, or.
    "cons eat poopy".

This forum is better than that, isn't it?

Amen to that. I have an IQ of 145, but I meet some 110's and 120's at work every day that can outsmart me. It's humbling.

Disagree. The framers wrote the constitution based on their experience and the fact that Plato wrote the republic.

They simply have a different vision.

However, a lot of the FREEDOMS that the framers wrote into the document are LIBERAL ideals; NOT conservative ideals, by ANY stretch of the imagination, including but not limited too:

    Freedom of Speech
    Freedom of the Press
    Freedom of Expression

Does this map EXCLUDE the number of criminals currently in jail that are being treated with cruel and unusual punishment methods, working for cents on the dollar for the benefit of massive major corporations?

I mean, is this map real or fake news?

Or do those people just "not count."

The OP reeks of insecurity. If I remember correctly this is the same person that could not properly structure a sentence.

Dear Ph3iron ..... you're charmingly out of touch with a rapidly changing reality. Bless your heart.

Don't worry, many of us (on the left) are stuck in the late 20thC. Some even think it's still 1969.

Classical liberalism, not today's neo-liberalism. Classical liberals were much closer to today's libertarians, the group that liberals hate. The liberal invented political correctness and safe spaces are purely anti-free speech and anti-freedom of expression.

Which is exactly what MODERN 'conservatives' stand for. And some of the things that Progressives hate most ... especially Freedom of Speech.

Nonsense. Some posters here (ahem) just can't see past their dissonance to construct an actual argument to an opposing view.

I do feel bad for them though. There's scientific evidence that extreme partisans cannot even recognize arguments to the contrary; their brain doesn't even register it. In fact, I believe you've done this yourself many and numerous times here.

Freedom of the press is under absolute assault by the right.

Freedom of Expression is under even more assault by the right.

And Freedom of Speech is under assault by the trump administration all across the board.

    Care to try again?

Those are classical liberal ideas, which are nothing like today's modern progressive liberal. All of those things you list are limits on Government power. Today's modern progressive liberal does not want limits on Government power.
