Even I will admit that this is going a little further than angry tweets (Not that NYT and CNN don't deserve this).

No doubt we will all get to see Wolf Blitzer and Van Jones cry about this later, I will be getting the pop corn ready. But is this going too far?

 

He's probably tired of CNN reporters shouting at him when he's calling on someone else. I don't think Trump abides rudeness in people.

 

If they want to be given respect, perhaps they should practise giving it.

You know...actions have consequences...even for so called professional news agencies. CNN and a few others have waged war against the president promoting fake news and propaganda. Should we really be surprised they're not invited to any event? That's 100% on them. If the liberal media is so upset over this maybe they should get a clue, rediscover journalistic integrity, and start over.

 

It's one thing for Trump not to call on them during press conferences ... it's quite another for him to BAN them
from the event. Obama never barred Fox News despite vast differences in opinion on coverage.

This is not a good precedent to set - it's what dictators do - not American Presidents.

The Obama administration was was under fire in 2009 for attempting to exclude Fox News from a round of interviews with Treasury Kenneth Feinberg in 2009. When this occurred CBS, ABC, CNN, and others in the press pool stood in solidarity with Fox news. Stating that they would not participate without them.
Now seems like a good time for the right leaning media outlets to return the favor to the Times, CNN, and Politico.

 

This act is absolutely unacceptable.

And, Trump getting burned by the truth is not an excuse for retaliating against the press.

 

Republicans don't have a "line" which, when crossed will cause them to question their Orange leader. They are fine with scum. In fact, only scummy politicians call the republican party 'home'. And trump is the highest example of this. Trump supporters are not burdened by ethics or principles, so don't hold your breath waiting for them to question their lying, duplicitous leader.
